I really got into those songs, because of Phil Collins and when I heard them on the radio I would often not be sure whether it was a Collins or Genesis song. Even though they're simpler and more poppy than the progressive rock stuff they played in the early days, I still think they recorded many classics such as: Follow You, Follow Me, Abacab, Invisible Touch, Land of Confusion, In Too Deep, No Son Of Mine, Jesus He Knows Me, I Can't Dance and my personal favourite Mama. I do intend to get into their early stuff as I generally like progressive rock. There are a couple of DVDs of concerts of Collins, Rutherford and Banks playing their own hits as well as some of the older songs, which are on my to get list. |

If you take a look at the discography you'll notice that their 1978 album is called 'and then there were three', which was literally the case at that point. | |

| I haven't heard of any of Genesis music for quite some time... mostly we hear it on some jukebox at a party these days... and it's not my first choice. ![]() | |
