Does anyone else appreciate the humor in "Hey Joe" by Jimi Hendrix?

Joe: Oh, I'm just going to shoot my wife. You know, I caught her doing everyone in town.
Later that day...
Jimi: Hey Joe, I heard you shot your old lady.... Seriously?
