Here's the albums released in the 2000s that I hold in high standards:
Moby - Play (OK it came out 1999, but most of the big singles were in 2000)
Radiohead - Kid A
Matthew Good Band - The Audio of Being
Nickelback - Silver Side Up
Our Lady Peace - Spiritual Machines
White Sprites - White Blood Cells
Queens of the Stone Age - Song for the Deaf
I Mother Earth - The Quicksilver Meat Dream
Metric - Old World Underground, Where Are You Now
Radiohead - Hail to the Theif
White Stripes - Elephant
The Arcade Fire - Funeral
Crash Test Dummies - Songs of the Unforgiven
Green Day - American Idiot
The Killers - Hot Fuss
Gorillaz - Demon Days
Metric - Live it Out
Oasis - Don't Believe the Truth
Weezer - Make Believe
Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not

I could probably cut that list down if I had time to really think it over.

I changed my mind.

DJ Quik's Trauma should be somewhere on my list in the top three. I was a bit disappointed the first time I got it, but after picking it up for the first time in over a year last weekend, I must say, it is easily one of the most well-produced hip hop albums of all time.

"United Abominations" - Megadeth

Here's what I could think of at four in the morning

Radiohead "Kid A"
The Arcade Fire "Funeral"
Air "Talkie Walkie"
Sigur Ros "Agaetis Byrjun"
...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead "Source Tags and Codes"
Animal Collective "Sung Tongs
TV on the Radio "Return to Cookie Mountain"
The Avalanches "Since You've Been Gone"
Liars "Drum's Not Dead"
Sufjan Stevens "Illinois"
