| Song 2 : Whoo Hoo | Cibo Matto's Latin Jazz-esque remake of Nirvana's "About a Girl" is genius. |

| Song 2 : Whoo Hoo | Well here's Nirvana's Unplugged Version, which is just as good as their album version. This is actually my favorite Nirvana song. Cibo Matto's version, set to someone else's video made from clips from a TV show or something. It starts out lo-fi and converts to hi-fi about 45 seconds into it. That's just how they made the song, and it works quite well. |

I better post the next one as well before I forget the links. The original Blues version of Black Betty by Huddie William Leadbetter aka Leadbelly. This was a rather hard to find song. LivinBlues- Home Page Along with the slightly more well know version by the Southern rock Group, Ram Jam Along with the Modern Aussie Incarnation by Spiderbait. Guess that decade is a good source of material. As such, I'll add one of my favourite 80s covers: A Little Respect Original by Erasure Cover by Wheatus Last edited by Sean P Kelly; 04-28-2007 at 12:21 AM. | ||||||||||||||||||

The otiginal is a very good song, but the cover takes everything that's good about it and adds a lot more. Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood by the Animals YouTube - The Animals - Don't let me be misunderstood The cover by Santa Esmeralda YouTube - Santa Esmeralda - Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood But to really appreciate it, you'll have to listen to the full version that runs over 10 minutes. | Song 2 : Whoo Hoo | ^ Awesome choice. One of my favorites as well. I love The Lightning Seeds' remake of "You Showed Me" by The Turtles even though it is intentionally the same and actually samples the Turtles version. Perhaps it's because it was used in one of my favorite episodes of Daria. If I'm correct, however, the song was originally done by the Byrds, whose version I've never heard. |
