So as to not clog up the Homecoming topic with something entirely different, you can put it here. o_o What instrumental talent ya got?

I play saxophone. Switched from Alto to Tenor in 7th grade, and now in High School I play Tenor in marching band and Bari sax in symphonic band. I also used to play piano. We also bought a flute but I can't get a single note out.

Wow, you can't get a note out of a flute? *insert laughing smilie*

I play the flute. Someone said I'm the best flute player in the world or something like that in class today, which, although untrue, is kinda funny.

Yeah. I can get a sound out. Just not a solid note. Then again, I'm so used to playing saxophone instead. Curse you.

My mom's a teacher, and she wants me to play both. It's one of those "You'll be smarter" things.

I'm mainly a singer, but I also play the violin and am a self-taught pianist of sorts.

Perhaps during the time you don't know the difference between a quarter note and an eighth note. Obviously a person who has already played piano who is just starting out on an instrument will play much better than a person who just started that same instrument. But after that stage (and perhaps waaaaay after, depending on the experience of the former), either one could end up better. I'm pretty sure I've kicked some flute ass of some who have played piano before.

I can play a few tunes on the piano and I sing. VERY... badly I might add, but you all know this by now.
