Pepper's is a pretty good album, but I don't think it deserves number 1. And maybe The Beatles and Bob Dylan get a little too much credit in there. 4 albums on the top ten list might not be entirely deserved... Also, Nevermind does not deserve number 17. Nirvana used to be my favorite band, but now I've realized that even though they're quite good, they're highly overrated. Kurt Cobain doesn't really display much talent, either. I seriously object to Blood Sugar Sex Magik being counted in at 310. It's probably my favorite album, and it's far better than some of the things in the top 50, like Nevermind for instance. And One Hot Minute has been completely left out. That album is way too underrated. What do you think about this list? Good? Bad? What albums were undeservedly left out? ----------------------------------------------------------------- Quote of the week: "If it weren't for electricity we'd all be watching television by candlelight."- George Gobol. | My name is Stereotype with an A | Haveing all three of Eminem's crapfests above Nas's Illmatic proves how much RS sucks. [ November 26, 2003, 03:16 PM: Message edited by: Malik Talib Kamal ] |

In fact, one of them's in the top 50, at number 48. There's another one at 300, and yet another one at 497. Eminem is overrated, though. If anything, The Slim Shady LP should've been there, but I don't think any of the others deserved it. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Quote of the week: "If it weren't for electricity we'd all be watching television by candlelight."- George Gobol. | My name is Stereotype with an A | That was the first time I actually saw the list, someone else told me that there were no PE albums on there. But still, none of Eminem's dog****oramas deserve to be on there. |

| Guest | What the bleep are the B-52s doing on there? Wow. Not only do I not have any of those albums, but I don't even have any of those artists. (I'm only counting my collection, not siblings or parents) And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

I'm glad some more recent stuff made it in there, like Elephant. And I personally think Abbey Road is much better than Sgt. Pepper's. And Prince is sooooo much better than Micheal Jackson. The only big problem I had was, and correct me if I'm wrong, was the complete lack of Queen. Did I miss something, or did they really exclude Queen? 500 albums, they made room for Eminem and Alanis Morrisette and a bunch of other overrated people and forgot to mention one of the best rock bands ever? Unbelievable. |

I'm also appalled at the fact that there isn't any Billie Holiday, Louie Armstrong, or Duke Ellington stuff in there. I mean, it's not really my type of music, but come on, you don't get much more groundbreaking than that... ----------------------------------------------------------------- Quote of the week: "If it weren't for electricity we'd all be watching television by candlelight."- George Gobol. | Guest | Well, it wasn't about being groundbreaking; it was about being good. Doing it first doesn't mean you do it best. But, yeah, those guys were great. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" [ November 28, 2003, 12:59 PM: Message edited by: CaptHayfever ] |

The fact that 'Mortal Kombat: The Album' isn't even on the list, let alone in the number-one spot (which it clearly deserves), proves what an utter fraud Rolling Stone really is. Yeah, right, as if anything by the Beatles could ever equal the majesty of 'Sub-Zero--Chinese Ninja Warrior'. I'll buy that for a dollar. |
