Kid Rock has talent now? When did that happen ?

Throughout "My Gift to You," lead singer Jonathan Davis fantasizes--in graphic detail--about choking his girlfriend to death while having sex with her. He contemplates suicide on "B.b.k." "All in the Family" describes a sick clan that practices deviant erotica together. Lines such as "Generation Triple X, we're all about the weed smoke and the kinky sex/. . . F--- authority!" fill a psychotic anthem featuring rapper Ice Cube ("Children of the Korn"). Four songs convey self-loathing and despair, including "Got the Life" ("God thanks me . . . Each day I feel so hollow inside"). The malicious vocalist also imagines killing his parents on "Dead Bodies Everywhere."
Uhh...sure. Okay.

I wonder what their Marilyn Manson reviews are like...

Amid obscure lyrics, I was pleased to find some very positive messages on ANThology [Alien Ant Farm]. For example, "Sticks and Stones" describes the power of hurtful words. On "Flesh and Bone", lead singer Dryden Mitchell wrestles with spirituality, acknowledging the existence of a loving God. But as good as those tunes are, "Death Day" is their ANTagonistic ANTithesis [Harhar...]. It features the morbid ramblings of a guy who killed his ex-girlfriend and celebrates the anniversary of her murder with mocking delight (Happy Death Day to you baby/I know you're flying in the blue now/We'll be together real soon....Papa's got a brand new body bag for you"). Sick and wrong. I don't know about you, but songs like that aren't welcome in my CD library no matter how good the rest of the disc is.
And as if that wasn't bad enough, here come The Beatles...

Quote:
For most of its 27 cuts, it's a great disc. The Beatles-who found hand-holding an innocent rush back in 1964-sing about love, not sex. Aside from brief drug references on "Come Together" and "Get Back", my only problem with 1 (And it's a biggie) is the repeated use of Jesus' name as a profanity on "The Ballad of John and Yoko." Program your CD player to skip track 23, or skip 1 altogether.
Okay, now someone needs to die...

^Another factual error; his name isn't "Christ".

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGHHHHHH! LETS JUST BURN OUR BEATLES ALBUMS AND LISTEN TO POD! I can't believe they advocate skipping the Beatles 1 just because of some unproper use of Christ's holy name. I consider it a sin to ignore talent b/c of some profanity. And I consider it even more sinful to listen to crap b/c its clean.

^ But "crap" is simply a matter of opinion. I haven't heard a whole lot of positive feedback on Kenny G., but he still makes albums, so there must be enough people to warrant making more.

The problem I have with most Christian music is that it's the same theme over and over and over again. It gets VERY old, VERY fast, especially when it's all your mom listens to.

It's all my mom listens to, and I never seemed to tire of it. Although I suppose I payed more attention to the melody than the lyrics...

^ Now you got a point there, PM. I can stand the beat to a good majority of Christian music, except that one that's like "Let the redeemed of the Looooooord...".
But honestly, I do kinda like some Christian bands, like P.O.D., Newsboys (Although they kinda fell orff), Five Iron Frenzy (Bow down, mortals!), and Relient K.

I'm Lion-O.

They have reason in their religion to disagree with much he says, obviously.. but like anything else, they misread all the lines. Hilarious, if you know what they're talking about.

In an interview involving CHRISTIAN FPS Eternal War:

Quote:
Can you give a brief background on it? Setting, etc.? Maybe expand a bit more than you have on the web site.

"Eternal War" takes place in the suicidal mind of John Coronado, a desperate teen ready to take desperate measures to escape his "personal hell". Without opening up too much story, John screams out a cry to God as his last resort before slitting his throat. God answers by sending Mike an angel that speaks to John about his pain and struggles and helps John out. Mike also assists in cleaning out numerous demonic strongholds in John's life and talks about alternative paths to take instead of killing himself.
I'll be in the closet, laughing, for hours, if you need me.

They get so outraged and offended by semi-offensive things like Nirvana and Tupac that they have nowhere left to go for acts that like Slipknot or Insane Clown Posse.

^ ICP says they're doing it all for god. Besides, gruesome music holds the same fascination for many in the same way that horror movies do.
