Well, I could easily learn to read guitar music if I just learned what note is where. Right now I don't know that many notes on the guitar, except for all the notes on the low E string and a few others from scales. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Quote of the week: "Behind every successful man is a woman, behind her is his wife." – Groucho Marx Image of the week: ![]() Pointless fact of the week: A raisin dropped in a glass of fresh champagne will bounce up and down continually from the bottom of the glass to the top. | Guest | I read treble cleff, bass cleff, and guitar tabliture. Regardless, I'm not any good at sight-reading. I have an excellent ear, and thus my mind has adapted to listening to music in order to play it. I haven't yet trained myself to read music on the spot, but I still know how to read it. I'm particularly good at figuring out single notes, but I find chords harder to transcribe just from listening. |
