I can read clarinet music, but not guitar music. Well, I could easily learn to read guitar music if I just learned what note is where. Right now I don't know that many notes on the guitar, except for all the notes on the low E string and a few others from scales.

I read treble cleff, bass cleff, and guitar tabliture. Regardless, I'm not any good at sight-reading. I have an excellent ear, and thus my mind has adapted to listening to music in order to play it. I haven't yet trained myself to read music on the spot, but I still know how to read it.

Yea, although when Im playing along I usually get caught out if its in some key with lots of sharps or flats.

I'm pretty good at sight-reading on the spot, and I have a pretty good ear, especially on guitar. I'm particularly good at figuring out single notes, but I find chords harder to transcribe just from listening.
