Pretty damned cool. So, our group is either gonna do the Diary of Anne Frank (to those who don't know, this is a WWII diary of some jewish girl in Germany) to the tune of Gangsta's Paradise, or the Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman (some INCREDIBLY gay book about the civil war and crap like that) to the tune of Rockin' Robin. I was assigned to write the Gangsta's Paradise one... and here it is. For being written at 11:30 at night, I think it's pretty damned good. And no offense is meant to any religious groups by this. ------------------------- Nazi's Paradise As I walk through the place where lots of peeps die I take a look at my life and sud’n’ly I’m ‘bout to cry Cause I've been hidin’ and survivin’ so long Even my friends think my life is gone But I ain’t never said nothin’ that shouldn’t’a been said Me be treated like a punk, you know that's unheard of You better watch how you talking, and where you walking Or if you a jew you gon’ be lined and shot I really hate to lip but I got to folk’ As they croak I see me lookin’ back like a joke ... fool I'm the kinda J that little peoples want to be like On my knees in the night, saying prayers in the street light We’ve been spendin’ most our lives livin’ in the Nazi’s paradise Keep losin’ all our jives livin’ in the Nazi’s paradise None of us got no five’s livin’ in the Nazi’s paradise Been shot and stabbed with knives livin’ in the Nazi’s paradise Look at the situation, they got me facing I can't live a normal life, I was raised with a lip So I gotta talk back at the naz’ peeps Too much radio listenin’ got me chasing dreams I’m livin’ in this place with rescue on my mind Got my journal in my hand and a gleam in my eye I’m a hoped-out tasta, mind-slippin’ paste-a And my stickers is down so don’t arouse my anger ... fool Death ain’t nothin’ but a phone call away I'm living life do or die, what can I say I'm 14 now but will I live to see 15 The way things is going I don't know Tell me why are they conceited as can be That the ones they hurt are you and me. We’ve been spendin’ most our lives livin’ in the Nazi’s paradise Keep losin’ all our jives livin’ in the Nazi’s paradise None of us got no five’s livin’ in the Nazi’s paradise Been shot and stabbed with knives livin’ in the Nazi’s paradise Silence and the boredom, boredom and the silence Minute after minute, hour after hour Everybody's hiding, but half of them ain’t looking What's going on in the outside, but I don't know what's cooking They say I've got to learn but ain’t many here to teach me If they can find it, how can’t they reach me I guess they can I guess they will I guess they cheat That's why I know my life is out of luck ... fool We’ve been spendin’ most our lives livin’ in the Nazi’s paradise Keep losin’ all our jives livin’ in the Nazi’s paradise None of us got no five’s livin’ in the Nazi’s paradise Been shot and stabbed with knives livin’ in the Nazi’s paradise Tell me why are they conceited as can be That the ones they hurt are you and me. Tell me why are they conceited as can be That the ones they hurt are you and me. ----------------------- Tell me if you think it's an A, please, or if it's a definite failure. |

I remember in 8th grade we made a parody of "Stan" by Eminem, telling the story of this little hippie (named M&M. No foolin'.) and called the album "The Baby Freak LP" (That's what the other hippies called him.) The book? "That Was Then, This is Now". Recommendations and stuff. ~Dylan |
