Music? - VGF

Is music allowed in this forum? If it isn't, well, I guess you ought to close this topic, and you have my apologies in advance.

If it is, I'd like to get requests from you guys for songs I should put together. I could always use more inspiration for music, not only because I like to put stuff together but because I want to get better.

(I like to think I'm at least decent at writing music.)

I mostly work in midi format, but I've been messing around in the FruityLoops demo, too. Here's what I can do in FL:

And here's the midi version:

Here's samples of other stuff I've made, just to give you a feel for what I can do:

Putfile - Cracked Sunglasses
Putfile - Syncopated Perfect Form

It'd also be helpful if I could get criticism from you guys. I don't have a good ear for music--the most horrendous tunes will appeal to me. I used to make horrendous stuff, and I've gotten to the point where I am now because I've gotten tons of criticism.

Anyway! If anyone has any requests for a song, just say it, no matter how vague the request is. I'm not exactly sure how a request would go, to be honest. Maybe someone would request a theme song for characters they might write about or draw???

(Here's hoping the topic doesn't flop, LOL.)

Daaang. FL is a tough program to learn to use, at least for me. I just listened to the Airball tracks, but that's incredibly impressive, especially for a demo version.

But yea, I dont have any musical requests, and I'd give you crit but I cant figure out how to work putfile.

^^ Thanks. It actually didn't take much effort since I made the song in Anvil Studio and just tweaked it in FL.

^ That's odd, Putfile automatically plays the file whenever I click the link. Ah well.

I've tried Fruity Loops and some other softwares, but I prefer my combination of Orion Platinum, Cool Edit Pro (aka Adobe Audition), and Acid Pro.

I wouldn't have minded this being classed as art, but yes we do have a forum specifically for music.
