This is one of the most creative lyrical albums I've ever heard. Lupe approaches a variance of topics easily and with great flow. For anybody who isn't particularly a hip hop fan and needs a present day album to check out the best of hip hop nowadays, this is a great album to start. And for true fans of lyricism, I'd recommend checking this out as soon as it hits shelves. |

For all of the so-called critics of hip-hop/rap, I highly, HIGHLY suggest listening to this album. Forget best album of the year, this is one of the best album's I've ever heard. He sends such a powerful message and unlike most of the crap that is in the mainstream today, most of his lyrics are metaphorical so you'd have to actually pay attention to what he's saying...it's not just "Yeah, uh, I popped a cap in his ass...where my hoes at?!?!" (Which is how many people like to criticize rap even though they've probably only heard a limited scope of it.) I could go on, but I have work to do. It's also saddening, because his current plan is to retire after his next album, entitled LupEND. (Cause when you play a video game in the arcade, you input 3 letters and then select "END"...kind of a cool idea.) |

I'd have to go with The Coolest, Streets on Fire, and Gotta Eat at this present moment. Honestly though, they could all be my favorites. |
