Bear in mind that I cannot read sheet music, so listing the key names is useless; I'm looking for the range names. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

Well, if you are, then Soprano, Mezzo-soprano, and Contralto are for females and the rest are for males. Soprano is the highest female voice and the lowest male voice is Bass. I found this site helpful. If you click on the catagories, it shows you a very long list of examples (for example, Micaëla from Bizet's Carmen is considered a Soprano) and the site even further breaks apart the list I gave you with the Fach system (It gets very complicated and confusing). |

Like, in Les Miz, Eponine would be considered a Mezzo to contralto whilst Colette would be likely a soprano. When in a musical, which characters actually SING bass, tenor, baritone, like that. |

I know what the ranges are (just look at the thread tags), but I can't always tell which range a character falls into. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |
