"Step right up, folks, I've got a terrific offer for you today! At absolutely no cost to you--absolutely none--I'll lamp you over the head really hard with a baseball bat! That's right, I'm giving it away! Now, now, no shoving, there's plenty enough to go around!" |

He does two verses of this, and after which he repeats the first line of the refrain over and over again, as his voice gets louder, so do the drums. Then he recites the rest of the refrain. At the last part he goes soft again, reciting the first few lines of the refrain, almost whisper-like. So ends a three minute wave of mediocrity. |

It's worse than goddamn Photograph. Nickelback wrote a pop song. Like, if the writing credits were to Madonna, I wouldn't be surprised. Holy ****, that's terrible. |

Then again, most of the music listening is constrained to the car radio. Also, it's mostly just background to whatever going on in the car. *covers head* |

You have a 24 year old emo and a bunch of girls to go along with you on that musical pathway. ![]() As to the single, I didn't even want to know they were releasing music still. I had forgotten. Guild, you ruined my day. |

Nickelback's entire purpose was to sound like the bastard son of Pearl Jam, Creed, and a trash compactor full of penises, but you have **** like "Bad Girlfriend" by GENERICHARDROCKBAND, which I regretfully heard while browsing the channels on my TV. I really wish they would stop 'inspiring' people. You know, I say all of this, but Nickelback's main problem is Chad Kroeger. His voice is... No, it's not even singing, it's grunting and/or eating rocks. I mean, I'm sure the band has some slightly talented musicians, and if those Hard Rock songs had more progression and less chord-reliance, they may actually not suck without Kroeger. My suggestion? Arsenic. Unless he reads this, in which case he should try to do it himself. I recommend cyanide. |

I'm more concerned about the band's progressively more mainstream appearance. First look at how at the music video for Nickelback's first mainstream hit Leader of Men back in 2000: Now look at this promotional image from the new album: ![]() | ||
