I don't like most new bands.

I like bands from before '95. Year of the punk.

How new are we talking about?
Y-O-U, the Polyphonic Spree, & Lemon Demon are each like 6 years old, & they're probably the newest non-soloists I follow.

I've heard that those "Beatles" are pretty good.

Depends on your definition of "new" I consider myself a fan of "modern" rock, but I count stuff made in the 90's.

A lot of stuff from the 00's though. A few highlights are Against Me!, Bloc Party, Coheed & Cambria, Flight of the Conchords, Interpol, The Mars Volta, Protest the Hero, The Raconteurs, The Strokes, and The White Stripes

MGMT is amazing. They were formed as a joke to annoy the members' college roomates, but for some reason, they got famous, played Letterman, and dropped a debut album that's been a success worldwide.

^ I agree. Though "Time to Pretend" has gotten a little annoying, imo.

Yeah, as far as stuff I've gotten into lately, Pretty Girls Make Graves just broke up, TV on the Radio isn't that new, Tilly and the Wall have been around for a while...

They're pretty great. I'd like Crystal Castles a lot more if they weren't plagiarists.
