Lil Wayne - A Milli Lupe Fiasco - Paris, Tokyo Nas - N.*.*.*.*.R. (The Slave and the Master) Snoop Dogg - Sexual Eruption Best Rap Duo/Group Performance: Big Boi w/ Raekwon & Andre 3000 - Royal Flush Jay-Z & T.I. w/ Lil Wayne & Kanye West - Swagga Like Us Lil Wayne w/ Jay-Z - Mr. Carter Ludacris w/ T.I. - Wish You Would Young Jeezy w/ Kanye West - Put On Best Rap/Sung Collab: Estelle w/ Kanye West - American Boy Flo Rida w/ T-Pain - Low John Legend & Andre 3000 - Green Light Lil Wayne w/ T-Pain - Got Money Lupe Fiasco w/ Matthew Santos - Superstar Best Rap Song: Lil Wayne w/ Static Major - Lollipop Flo Rida w/ T-Pain - Low Snoop Dogg - Sexual Eruption Lupe Fiasco w/ Matthew Santos - Superstar Jay-Z & T.I. w/ Lil Wayne & Kanye West - Swagga Like Us Best Rap Album: Jay-Z - American Gangster Lil Wayne - Tha Carter III Lupe Fiasco - The Cool Nas - Nas T.I. - Paper Trail Best Comedy Album: Lewis Black - Anticipation Flight of the Conchords - Flight of the Conchords Kathy Griffin - For Your Consideration George Carlin - It's Bad for Ya Harry Shearer - Songs of the Bushmen Best Compilation Soundtrack: Various - American Gangster Various - August Rush Various - Juno Various - Mamma Mia Various - Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street Best Score Soundtrack: James Newton Howard & Hans Zimmer - The Dark Knight John Williams - Indiana Jones & The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Ramin Djawadi - Iron Man Jonny Greenwood - There Will Be Blood Thomas Newman - Wall-E Best Song for a Soundtrack: Peter Gabriel - Down to Earth Carrie Underwood - Ever Ever After John Mayer - Say Amy Adams - That's How You Know John C. Reilly - Walk Hard Producer of the Year: Danger Mouse Nigel Godrich Johnny K Rick Rubin will.i.am Best Short-Form Music Video: Erykah Badu - Honey Gnarls Barkley - Who's Gonna Save My Soul Alicia Keys & Jack White - Another Way to Die Radiohead - House of Cards Weezer - Pork and Beans In conclusion: I would've liked to see more for Another Way to Die than music video. Radiohead, as much as I want them to win everything, has no categories in the bag for them except for Best Alternative Album, and has a very low chance of taking Album of the Year. I would've liked to see more T.I. in the rap category than "Swagga Like Us." Also, how does M.I.A. get away with only one nomination? She could've made dance categories AND hip-hop categories, but only record of the year? Shame. These are just my personal opinions. I'm predicting Coldplay to win all of the rock/pop categories and Lil Wayne taking all the hip-hop categories. Album of the year will go to either one. |

No Kala for best album? 3. The Grammies are a joke. "Roc Boys" should win best rap song and American Gangster best rap album. For the most part, I agree with you. Also, "Royal Flush" for best Rap Duo/Group Performance. Ew... OneRepublic is terrible. |

Here's to hoping he builds off the grammy win for "Daydreamin" |

I felt kind of underwhelmed by American Gangster, to be honest. Good tears or bad tears, Brandon? |

And it would be badass if the Mars Volta won. If I see the Jonas Brothers win I will just stand up and flip off my television for a while. |

| Member | The Grammys are a waste of time pageant where overpaid artists that have to be told in advance that they won so that they'll show up are awarded not based on their artistic integrity, but on how generic they can be to have any modicum of success on top 40 radio. That being said, I hope Sex on Fire wins Best Rock Performance. |

The Oscars might be condescendingly American, but at least they generally choose decent nominees for the most part. |

I finally realized that's the song I keep hearing that I like a lot. |

Almost every year, the winner of Best Picture seems to be a love story, an inspiration story, or a combination of both. The only exception I can think of is Gladiator. And there seems to be NO love at all for comedies, despite the theory that comedy is one of the hardest things to act. -CSM |
