If my other brother was home I was thinking of seeing if I could go to the Nine Inch Nails/Jane's Addiction show tonight, because I know he's a fan of both bands. This summer I'm planning on going to: Legends of Motown (Temptations Revue + Contours, saw last year and it was awesome. Only $10) Blue Oyster Cult + Over the Rainbow ($10) Dave Matthews Band ($40) Temptations + Four Tops ($10) All with my dad. Want to see but have no real way of going yet: Rock The Bells Tour (Nas & Damian Marley, The Roots, Busta Rhymes, Big Boi, Tech N9ne, Reflection Eternal, Slaughterhouse, Slum Village, K'naan, The Knux, Chali 2na, hosted by KRS-One, Supernatural, and Pete Rock; $32.50) Judas Priest + Whitesnake + Pop Evil ($20) Yes + Asia ($15) Incubus + The Duke Spirit ($27.50) Jim Gaffigan ($15) Heaven & Hell + Coheed & Cambria ($20) I still want to see Radiohead really badly, but they're overseas this year, mostly focusing on their new album, stupid Thom Yorke. Also, I wanted to roadtrip to Pitchfork fest and Lollapalooza, but I don't think there's money for the passes, food, plus shelter during the trips. |

It was a totally awesome time. SSSC was totally cool and exceeded my expectations. NIN was, well NIN. and Janes Addiction exceeded my expectations too, despite the fact it's hard for me to get in to some of their stuff- it's alright, but you know... just not something I can frequently listen to and enjoy. Other Plans for shows include: Possibly Lollapalooza 2009 or, instead, Depeche Mode in NY SSSC/NIN/JA- June 10th @ Post Gazette in PA (maybe!) We'll have to see things go. I've recently began the purchase price on a condo near where I live now, and it sorta depends on how my financial situation with that works out, but we'll breathe deeply and hope for now. |

Same with Chuck's shows for the rest of the summer. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

I'm seeing No Age with Deerhunter and Dan Deacon for free in August, and the Pains of Being Pure at Heart with Cymbals Eat Guitars in September for probably not more than $10. |

I'll hopefully also go to Warped sometime in August, but that one is iffy right now. Maybe some other stuff later on. Haven't been looking at much so far. |

Both were good; the latter was better. I just checked the schedule at Blueberry Hill, & I might be able to make it to Chuck Berry's August show after all! ![]() And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |
