There's no way for me to make a list of my favourites, as they are completely dependent on my mood. Some days, my favourite songs are The Blood Brothers, and other days, it will be Laura Marling. Some days, I will listen to a single track for three hours straight, and other days, I will skip through every song half a minute in. Yeah. |

So yeah. It'll be recompiled, renewed, whatever, probably for all of the time I have to hear songs come out of speakers. But those are some that came to mind and I really wanted to actually finish a list for the first time in my life. D: So just list off or talk about songs that are really special to you. I do not require a top 100 list simply because I posted one. :P |

I may do other decades (seeing that I have a lot less 80s and 90s stuff it'll be a lot easier) |

XD |

There was a point in life where the only thing I would listen to is "Wolf at the Door" by Radiohead. I would not listen to any other songs. Not even other Radiohead ones. My list in the P4k thread is more of a compilation of Panfan of all ages (most of my prog has been bumped off the list but The Mars Volta and Porcupine Tree remain, there's still some hip hop from when I was really into rap last year, etc.) |

I went through my library and had 259 songs on the original playlist. Then I just cut most of them and cried a little before basically taking the list and writing the whole thing down. I wanted to put thought into the placement, but every time I did, I like another song better, but WHAT ABOUT THIS SONG, and then wait I want this song. In short, I gave up after a while. But I was like goddammit I am going to have a list at the end of all of this. What you see if what I got. It's a lovable Frankenstein of every phase I ever went through, but there's a lot of songs I wish were on there... In conclusion, earlier today I said Pitchforks list make me realize that to make the perfect list, I must do it myself. I was sure of this. However, it turns out that I hate even my own list. There is no perfect list, my friends. I have failed. ![]() Although, Let Down is still the best song ever. |

I managed to get Let Down and Province written down, but number three was a fierce battle. Unfortunately, it seems those two songs (which in themselves are subject to change) are the only constants I'll ever have. |

Insurgentes is without a doubt one of my favorite albums EVAR. Pure Reason Revolution - Deus Ex Machina - One of the catchiest things I've ever heard, and simply orgasmic. Muse - Map of the Problematique and Starlight - See above. DJ Shadow - Stem/Long Stem **Transmission 2 - a perfect distillation of the emotion of floating, longing, and gazing into infinity. The Black Mages - The Skies Above - Beautiful in so many ways, and Mr. Goo is THE MAN. The Mars Volta - Ilyena - Some of the most intense music I've seen, with ridiculous grooves and huge bursts of rhythmic madness. Porcupine Tree - Drown With Me and Anesthetize - Drown With Me demonstrates how to rock the hell out of an acoustic, and combining that with the many dubbed vocal harmonies and overall delivery creates something awesome. Anesthetize is epic in every sense of the word and some that don't exist yet. R.E.M. - Feeling Gravity's Pull and Oddfellows Local 151 - R.E.M. is one of the few bands whose vocals and lyrics truly get to my soul, and I love their darker side. UNKLE - Nursery Rhyme/Breather - Part intense, part truth/beauty. Radiohead - Let Down and Where I End And You Begin (The Sky is Falling In) - pure liquid emotion. THAT'S ALL FOR NOW, FOLKS p.s. I thought you would have Billie Jean Galef D : |

My favorite bands are Flogging Molly, The Offspring, The Dropkick Murphys, Aerosmith, Queen, Journey, The Eagles, AC/DC, R.E.M, and The Police, in no particular order after the first three. Any list would consist almost entirely of those ten with somewhere between 20-30 from other bands. |
