FIRST ONE: Muse - Uprising Yes, this was genuinely the first song I got when I hit random. We all know of my love affair for Muse that dates back to 2006, and I often credit them for being the first genuinely talented group I ever got into. As you all know, I saw them perform this week, and they opened with this. It may not be the best song they've ever done, but it really ****ing destroys live. The general effect of the whole thing was mindblowing: their setup was fantastic, their segues were perfectly executed, and Bellamy is a ****ing madman. Again, I fully recommend going out to see this band some time if you're into them.

I dislike hidden tracks in the digital age, because they end up throwing in 7 minutes of silence before the end of the last track and the hidden one. On the same track. |

Kind of Blue is consistently cited as jazz's hallmark record, and Davis its prime innovator. He certainly has inspired me as a musician in more than a few ways; his tireless desire to evolve and create (even if some say it was just to keep up with the times and get more money) is beautiful, but his taste and ear for musicians with which to play is what sets him apart. He never failed to find the best drummers in the business, and pretty much every support musician that ever played with him has made a name of their own outside of the Davis band. This track in particular has a noir feeling that relaxes me. The vibe of smokey black-and-white buildings and city sidewalks never fails to put me in the mood to lay back and enjoy what I have in front of me for a while, which is bizarre, but I certainly do not question it.

Pretty good album, I dare say. |

Right now, I'm listening to "Sleeping Time" by Die Happy. I forgot how I discovered them, but I'm so glad I did. Here's a video of theirs, and what got me hooked. The song's called "Peaches". All of my friends loved it when I showed it to them. I think I found this video while browsing the related videos on a Lordi video. Last edited by Sabrilocke; 03-22-2010 at 07:22 PM.
