The Associated Press: Rapper Guru dies at 43 after battle with cancer

I think I have to stop making fun of the "Lemonade" line from "DWYCK" now. Daily Operation, Hard to Earn, and Moment of Truth are all classic hip hop albums.

Heard about this earlier, pretty sad, Gangstarr is one of the main reasons why I listen to hip-hop, sad day for the hip-hop community and music as a whole.
RIP.

I know I'm late(On this forum at least) but Guru and Gangstarr are part of the reason I started listening to hip hop. So RIP to one of the pioneers.

I've looked him up, and I still have no clue who this guy is...
Everyone's making a big deal about him, but I've never heard of him in my life until now.

A little respect, mate? If you don't know who he is, that's it. I don't hear about a lot of successful musicians, and I'm still interested.

Seriously. You might have never heard of him, but he was one of the earliest rappers to gain a lot of commercial success. Dude had three platinum records, so it's not like he's an unknown musician.

I know who she is, but I can't think of any of her songs off the top of my head... Unless there are songs I don't realize she sang, which is probably the most likely.

^Her signature song is probably "I Will Always Love You" from The Bodyguard, in which she also starred.

And remember, "IIIIIIIIIIIII-ee-IIIIIIIIIII-ee-IIIIIIIIIII'm-a Luuuigiiiiiiiiiiiiii, number one!"

I don't know. I've always liked Dolly Parton's version better.

...it's a little quieter.

Shame about Whitney and all, though.
