If you guys need any extra drumming and I have time to get everything set up, I could maybe give it a shot. I wish you luck in the meantime. |

I've beatboxxed for years, if your into that, though I tend to be somewhat rusty nowadays. I can make some pretty kinda okay beats (via beating/snapping/clapping/tapping/whatever mostly beating and tapping tho) with pretty much any household object and on almost any service. Also, I'm okay at keyboard/piano, I just can't, ya know, read music...Yet... I also own a cheap electric drumpad thing as well as a couple of guitars(which I also can't really read music for...), whatever that's worth. I've also been practicing with madtracker (a music program usually used for acid/techno, but used for whatever you like pretty much). If any of these have any real value/might help you out, just hit me up and I'll see what I can do. ^-^ (Though I can't really guarantee anything completely... P.S. Oh yeah, I have trombones, whhich I used to play; and my sister has a clarinet. (again, whatever those are worth...) P.S.#2 and I do some voices...Yeah...... P.S. #3 I have lots of free time due to the school that I go to... I'd like to see A.I. in this topic too, his stuff is pretty tight. EDIT: What genre of music are we talking 'bout BTW? Covering songs with a single genre in mind, or separate genres for each song? Maybe just whatever people come up with? Perhaps just wingin' it? Last edited by Vgfian; 08-01-2010 at 09:14 PM. |

That means synths, drums, strings, convincing pseudo bass and guitar, choral voices. Or possibly vocals, if I like the style. Quote:
What kind of song do you have in mind, Jere? I can set down some rhythm guidelines, if you want to pick one. Here's an example of a track I did going back to around 2004/2005 as an example: http://revolver.arcticpalace.org/mus...derground).mp3 It's a remix of the cavern theme from Zelda 3 (LttP) Here's an original, more recent one with a vocal track: http://revolver.arcticpalace.org/mus...ces(Final).mp3 And the most recent one I did with vox (yeah, this one's intended as comedy): http://revolver.arcticpalace.org/mus..._Blood_320.mp3 Last edited by Cosmonautical; 08-02-2010 at 06:48 AM. Also very, very apt on flute. and I blow a mean didgeridoo. And I've got all the recording equipment necessary. But yeah, I have free time. What kinda stuff would we be doing? |

People Playing a Synthesiser i don't think is to bad though. And im thinking that we just could go crazy with something nothing to hard though, if you get a good thought put in the thread. Im going to work tomorow and i don't know how much connection will be awailable (it's out in the Wildernes afterall) so i can't really discuss this on worst case scenario on sunday. |

What's the plan; is somebody going to start with a melody & send it to the others, or what? And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

And about recording, most basic i think is to have a mic place it somewhere there isn't to much noice play the stuff you want played and Go, just listen it through so it sounds good. How you want to get it in the computer i don't have figured out yet. |

Your call, though. I'm still cool for vox and anything raw sounding, I have a way with electronic instruments that doesn't have a place in the mainstream industry. If you guys need someone to do the mix for you, I can easily do a master of some recorded tracks. If I like what I'm hearing, I might mix my own synths into a version of the final anyway. You gotta gamble to win the game, right? Last edited by Cosmonautical; 08-07-2010 at 06:43 AM. | |
