It's just so chill and I love the peaceful tone. After checking YouTube for ideas, I noticed that there are several Reggae-ish covers of the song. I occasionally enjoy Reggae, but I wanna try and stay away from doing a Reggae cover of the song if it's been down a thousand times. My band doesn't really have a specific genre we're doing. Right now we have an alternative/punk/hard rock feel. (Think Black Tide mixed with Blink 182, more or less.) I'd be asking them, but my drummer is extremely uncreative and my guitarist had the Reggae idea before I told him that it's all been done before, Any ideas or help I can get is greatly appreciated. |

He says he's afraid of it and it will make him worse. I think I need a new drummer, but he seems to be the only interested drummer in the whole city. |

I just haven't been able to listen to his stuff in a long time. So I've either never heard it or I don't remember it. ----------------- Third Eye Blind's album Ursa Major has some pretty chill rock, reggae-ish, something or other, that has the same coolness, but isn't really reggae. Personally I think it's okay, it has mixxed reviews however. I don't know if that'll help at all. Relient K's song No Reaction is a pretty interesting little rock reggae song, you could prolly find it on Youtube I'd suggest checking it out. (Funnily enough the lyrics seem to kind of fit your predicament in a way.) Quote:

I would be hard, though. And I think if you want to try to keep the relaxing feel, then that might not be so good. I don't know. Ask someone else here. |

Actually, I'd just suggest the whole album cause it's just that great IMO (not to mention cheap, I got my copy (that I gave to Galefore for gradguation) from a dollar tree for, well, a dollar...). |
