At the Drive-In is getting back together!

If you don't know At the Drive-In, from 1993 to 2001 these guys literally INVENTED the Post Hardcore scene. They were one of the grungiest, rawest, least studio magic'd bands out there. After they released their third lp, Relationship of Command, they split up with half their members forming The Mars Volta the other half Sparta. You might recognize the song One Armed Scissor from Guitar Hero: World Tour. And now, after so long, on Janruary 9th, they twitted "ATTENTION! To whom it may concern: AT THE DRIVE-IN will be breaking their 11 year silence THIS STATION IS …NOW…OPERATIONAL"

And they're one of the headliners now for Coachella.

Here are a few songs by them:

One Armed Scissor (official video) - YouTube
At The Drive-In - Invalid Litter Dept. - YouTube
At the Drive-in ~ Hell Paso : Emptiness is a Mule - YouTube

Sorry, but no.

I really love AtDi though and really hope they stop in Michigan.

That's some cool news, actually. Consider me mildly interested. Panfan's got you on Fugazi there, though, they were hugely influential to the foundation of the Post Hardcore scene.

I love these dudes, so it's cool to see they FINALLY got back together. Hope I can catch a show before they disband again over something random. XD

yeah they haven't posted yet if the band's original lineup is entirely back but ten bucks Omar is gonna bitch out. He's pretty much the reason they never got back together over all these years.

I'm bumping because I missed this thread and I love this band, so...

^Well, Cedric, too. They're just kind of like... "I'M TIRED OF IT." Now they're in The Mars Volta and calling themselves the future of pop. 0_-'

But, yeah, I really wish they would make a new album, but Omar said it was just a nostalgic thing.
