I got them on Monday. I remember a lot of people complaining about Albert Odyssey's terrible loading times, six seconds to load a battle, and another four to load the world map. I personally didn't mind this at all. Why? I've played games with MUCH worse loading times. An honorable mention would be the PSX version of Final Fantasy 6. We all should know about how terrible this game's loading times are. Six seconds to load up anything. Battles, menues, the map, a saved file, you name it, it takes six seconds to load. But the game with the abolute worst loading times I have ever played was 3D Lemmings. The game takes about a minute to load up, and the only thing you can skip is the movie with the lemmings coming out of the computer. As for the actual game, any time you select ANYTHING except the "Save Game" option. For example, it takes ten seconds to load a picture that tells you about the next stage. You ask to see a preview perhaps. Another ten seconds. You load up the stage, ten seconds. You have to nuke the stage because you screwed up (there wasn't a single stage I completed that I didn't have to nuke at least five times to beat it). Add ten seconds to load up a screen of a bunch of lemmings going "Boo! Booboo! Boo!". To restart the stage, you have to go back to that "Picture". Rinse and repeat. You'll be sitting there at least three minutes worth of time before you complete one stage. And in order to save, you have to return to the main menu. Add ten seconds. ![]() Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there! [ August 28, 2004, 06:18 PM: Message edited by: CodieKitty ] |

Actually had a good battle system and story, too. But yeah, every time you went anywhere, you literally had to sit through minutes of load time. It just got stupid after a while.-jay |

Perhaps it takes as long to load the ending of Ocarina of Time? (I have Master Quest as well, heh) ![]() __________________ Can I has signature? |

Well, okay, it had that one with the skull statue when you started up a saved game. But other than that, there really weren't any loading times. ![]() Where are these lemmings going?
