I submitted a request for NC to be in Nuklear Power's webcomic spotlight! Wow, I feel like I'm doin' community service or something. Anyway, I wanted to submit it because I've been a long time reader of NC and it was the first webcomic I've ever read and still my favorite. Good luck Jay.

That's an awesome thing you did! I hope NC gets listed and FINALLY gets the recognition it deserved. NC was my first webcomic too. I'll never forget first coming here in 1998. Good memories, really good.

Yea, I kick arse, huh? Anyway, I've been coming here since about `98-`99 too and even though NC is what one might call a "low-budget" comic, it's still my favorite. Besides, I think we can all agree that Neglected Characters is, well, neglected... so I thought it'd be pretty coo'.

XD

Yep, it's a wonder how Jay manages to make ends meet with his comic budget. It's certainly not true that he's not making any money off of these, nope.

You know, if Jay give's me his permission I could probly get that guy who does VGCats to do a guest comic for Jay.

According to his FAQ, Scott doesn't like sprite comics which is why I never sent him a request to link to my site. Yeah, he likes 8-bit Theater, but that one's really high budget.

Speaking of VGCats... that recent one is just plain wrong. O_o

Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there!

It's not high budget because no one's paying them except through donations and t-shirts! Stop calling it that!

Isn't that the only way Brian can be paid? He doesn't have any other job. Anyway, I'm callin' it that because NC has that low-budget feel to it (remember Poland?) but I assume that's on purpose, cuz it is pretty funny.

Jay doesn't get paid! It's a no-budget comic strip, dammit!

On another note, I think that the poor graphics format of NC is due to many things...

Jay's laziness... 50%

Other people's laziness... 20%

Stylistic choice... 15%

Jay thinks it's funny... 15%

Yeah, I'm doing this during my free time... I'm a full time grad student and making money as a research assistant. This is just a hobby for me.

Haha, and yeah. That's a good analysis of the poor graphic format. Hehe.-jay
