You'll have to buy the tapes off eBay. I bought one that was the "complete" series, but it was a third generation barely watchable thing from the network to some guy's VCR piece of crap. There was one episode that I was really getting into, but the guy didn't seem to know how to work his VCR, and cut it in half with the next episode. Punk.

I'm not even sure if all the episodes are there. I admit I never watched the entire thing, but I never saw the Puss in Boots episode.

Only in your memories of an era long gone.

I remember those shows dangit, wasn't Mega Man on that show? Wonder how they got Capcom to do that. Mother Brain was the main villian no?

Yeah, Mega Man was there. Mother Brain was the main villian, and she actually had Dr. Wily as one of her minions. Plus, Dr. Light shows up in one episode, (although I think they called him "Dr. White", and he looked like a hairy gnome). There were a lot of non-Nintendo games there. Bayou Billy, Puss in Boots, and even Final Fantasy.

Mega Man was green in that show with a black visor, and talked like a chain smoking grandmother who threw around the word "mega" like free candy.

Simon Belmont of Castlevania fame was also in there, and they screwed him over even worse than Mega Man. Not only does he look more like Launchpad in a blue coat than a vampire hunter, in the first season he he a head a head more swollen than The Pain's and felt the need to take off his clothes every other episode. After the first season, he got a lot less obnoxious.

They even screwed over Pit. Number one, he flies all the time (which he's not supposed to be able to do). Number two, they keep calling him "Kid Icarus".

Yeah, they totally got EVERYTHING wrong with the characters. But it was still a fun show to watch.

I can remember an episode that had Ganon in it, and I thought he killed Mother Brain.

I don't think he killed her, just attacked her, and she took off with Eggplant Wizard and King Hippo.

I just busted out my tapes for something I'm writing for my site.

Wow, the quality on these things blows.

... but I did find the Puss in Boots episode.

I liked that game. You could press select and switch to boomerangs and all kinds of crazy crap. Good times.

Here's what about 95% of the tape looks like:

Dr. Light is actually called "Dr. Right". And I think he's gay.

See, just look at Wily. He knows something's going on that isn't supposed to. And just look at what happened to Gamma!

About the Final Fantasy episode, it revolves around the "Elf" prince and the Dark Elf (forget his name) putting him to sleep. However, he's not an elf. Matoya's also in there, but they kind of did a number on her; she's supposed to be blind and needs the Crystal Eye to see, but she's not and is really just a typical witch.

I forget if their names were changed from the NES version (for example, in Dawn of Souls the TNT is called the "nitro powder", and Nuke is called "Flare"), but...

As I recall, Dr. Light was also called "Dr. Right" in the original MegaMan manual. It's a translation error.

The Dark Elf's name was Astos, and that part of the game was the only part that made me wish the plot moved a bit faster (Don't ask why)...

It seems like an interesting show, but for some reason, I can't stand watching shows where they screwed up the characters. Like the original LoZ TV show. They even made Link talk! TALK!!! LINK DOESN'T TALK, ESPECIALLY NOT THAT MUCH!!! AND HE AIN'T STUPID AND FLIRTY EITHER!!!

Now that I'm done ranting on how messed up the LoZ tv show was... Time for a rant about the rest of the shows.

As for other Nintendo tv shows, they're all the same. Screw up the characters, make people think the stryline is backwards in the games, and viola! Arguments start.

Poor world. It never gets a break, does it?

At least, not the good kind.

There were official tapes, if I recall. My cousin has the tape with a few episodes (The one that introduces Gameboy is all I remember). Either way, that show ruled, no matter how bad it was, no matter how bad they made Pit, Simon, or Megaman look, heh.

Those tapes you have remind me of those terrible Seahunt tapes my Dad got. Imagine those tapes, but in black and white and it looks like you're viewing them through a snowstorm. And the sound is almost like grating steel with a rusty pickaxe.

Yeah, they released a couple of official tapes, but at most there were only four episodes. I know of two tapes ("Gameboy" and "The Quest for the Potion of Power"), there may be more, and the tapes may have had more than one episode, though I doubt it.
