Anyone else excited about the possibility of a new Mario platformer in E3?

I'm seriously hoping some sort of Mario game comes out. Nintendo's quietness is quite urking...

I hope they pull another SMB3/SMW by releasing two new real good Mario games close to eachother.

I watched the press conference. There will be a Super Smash Bros. 3, but no new major Super Mario game. I did, however see many spin-offs (although they looks stupid to me) like Mario Baseball, Mario Strikers, and Mario...Dance Dance Revolution?....Yeah. But I did, however, see a new Mario and Luigi for the DS. I'm looking forward to that one!

... still don't wanna buy a DS for two games... maybe I'll just buy the game, then wait for the DS to come down in price...

Don't worry, CK. They'll probably screw up these new Mario games like they did to SMS. Even worse, actually, since they now have the Touch Screen to use with their 'innovative' systems.

Sorry to say it, Alph, but I think the golden age of Nintendo is over and it's not coming back. I don't think we'll ever see another SMB3 in this lifetime... let alone a SMB3/SMW combo.

I saw the screens Mariosrpg posted at SMBHQ Main, and when I saw Baby Mario and Luigi, I thought "WTForo?".

Still, Mario & Luigi and Super Mario RPG are the only Mario RPGs I liked (I'm gonna be making a topic soon about my issues with Paper Mario. I'm not sure if I wanna get the last Star Spirit and clobber Bowser, or just make the topic now, because I seriously doubt anything's gonna be changing soon).

Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there!

Well, I have to say that Paper Mario didnt go too well for me. Not a bad battle design, but Mario looks like a dork, he only grunts, and the plotline sucks.
But thats only my opinion.
