I won't be totally AWOL, I'm just not going to be around quite as much (and I'll be totally absent for three days). So don't go throwing a messy party, because if I walk in and find food stains on the walls, monkeys dancing on the ivory piano, and underwear on the coffee table, anyone I find in the area is getting a lashing, regardless of involvement. I will then proceed to beat Jay with a shovel for letting it happen, and he won't be able to update while in rehab so don't mess up the house. I've packed along some a CD player, some discs, basic art supplies and the following games: SNES: Blackthorne Contra III Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures Sunset Riders Yoshi's Island PS2: Contra: Shattered Soldier Crimson Sea 2 Kessen 3 Maximo Neo Contra Red Dead Revolver Shinobi GCN: Custom Robo Tales of Symphonia Timesplitters 2 (Sonic Heroes pending) GB: Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge Gargoyle's Quest Kid Dracula Kid Icarus GBA: Advance Guardian Heroes Astro Boy Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow Castlevania: Circle of the Moon Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance Wario Ware Twisted Yeah, it's more than I can beat in a month (though some of them, like Circle of the Moon, I've already beaten), but at least if I end up hating something I can move on to something else. After Castlevania: Circle of the Moon and Link's Awakening, I proceeded to muck through Castlevania: Lament of Innocence (garbage), Magi Nation (I didn't hate it, but I'd be hard pressed to give it more than a 6/10), Paper Mario (see my topic about it), Katamari Damacy (If there's one thing this game taught me, it's don't trust a first impression), and I can't say Wario Ware Twisted refreshed me* (I got it to take on the road with me, but when I read in the manual that it shouldn't be played in a moving vehicle, I decided to play it now. I could have beaten it in two hours. It's the best out of all of these, though, and that's a wee bit sad when you think about it). Seems I attract crap games like a crap game magnet, but something in that lot's gotta be good. *Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne probably would have, except I only played it for an hour and quit because (a) Magi Nation totally monster catcher'ed me out for a while (though I really like Nocturne's method of turning enemies into allies), and (b) until I can get something through my system, I'm not playing through an RPG even if it's Final Fantasy 6. Especially one that's supposed to be over 100 hours long. And yes, I'm aware Symphonia is an RPG. I figured I'd save that one for late in the trip. ![]() Where are these lemmings going? Last night actually, I just haven't been able to get on a computer until now. We got in pretty late, and I looked out the window (nice view), and in my fatigue confused Washington Monument for the Statue of Liberty. I also kept thinking about the Empire State Building and ground zero, so I guess my exhausted head thought I was in New York City. By the way, I'm an aunt of somebody older than I am in real life. Only a year, but... ![]() Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there! |
