Put the NC back into the NC Forum? - VGF

I know this is nit-picky, and annoying, but it is a reminder. Jay, could you try to get the current comic series going, somewhat? It may be a lot to ask, but it'd help SMBHQ as a whole. It's looking desolate here. When Kyle left, SMBHQ stopped being an information resource. But if NC stagnates.... ....it is surely doomed to become another Nintendoland.

I beg of you... just try to make another short if you can! This is not intended to be some crazy or lame thing like some people either. It's from a practical point of view.

I wish he would at least get started putting my MW comix up on the site. That should keep the comix part of the site active for awhile, without much effort on Jay's part.

Because 1.) Jay likes to be a part of the series that go into NC and 2.) Fan made comics suck. Just take a look at the comix forum.

Heck, even my fanmade works sucked because I couldn't really muster the NC sort of atmosphere.

Personally, I like the "by the fans for the fans" feel SMBHQ has developed into. Though, some more information would be nice (the era pages will be done, eventually, I promise).

As for NC, I can say that Jay is slowly starting to feel revived. He even included, what's essentially, a mini NC-story in one of his current batch of mailbag replies (you'll see that tommorow).

That may be true, Sean, but what does Kyle think? That, and it's kinda awkward for the entire left side of the site to be completely and utterly outdated. You'd need to redo the whole layout YET AGAIN if you wanted more traffic to fan sections.

What brought people here in the first place was Mario information and NC. If we don't have either, what will we bring people in with? I came here because of NC, after all, and that was after going to SMBHQ for Mario information. If today's site had been sent back in time to when I would have first joined, I would have never even joined in the first place, because there's nothing new to look at. I kept on coming back for the new stuff. After all, it was the thrill of wondering what would happen next which superseded the quality of the comix.

What we need is another Kyle. Or THE Kyle. Jay's too busy, you're too busy, and it isn't my job. And besides that, well... uhhh... we have Codiekitty and the mailbag people and the large group of random people milling about SSS. And anyone else I forgot about.

Yeah, I understand how you feel, MM. I really would like to update the site more. I really wish I could do more. But I just haven't been able. Mostly because of graduate school. Grad school has sucked up most of my creativity.

I actually am more receptive to fan made comics now, since I've had less time to do my own. So really. If ANYONE has anything they would like to submit to NC (MM, Glyph), talk to me about it, and we can probably work something out. I'd appreciate any help you all would like to give me.-jay
