Jay and Lord Reid gave me permission to be the one-time guess author for Part 11.

I've have already started the comic and I plan to work on it doing the weekend and send it to Jay for a release sometime in February (it can't come out before then because of some jokes I'm including at the beginning)

A few things you can expect:
</font>
  • The induction of the final member, and naming of, Citrus Man's league of heroes.</font>
  • References to some SMBHQ minus world joke there was a few years ago (you may have heard of it)</font>
  • A scene choreographed to a certain 80s song</font>
Discuss your thoughts and ideas here (I may use them)

This better be up to their quality of comix. 'Cause if it's not...

*Looks at a large mob of knife-wielding NC fans*

Yikes!

Don't worry, based on what I've done so far, I think you will be happy with the result.

I'm currently at 36 frames through and I have a good idea where this comic is going.

From the looks of it, this part is concentrating more on the storylines of Donez/Jill and Citrus Man/Churro. Though there will be some vignettes with Pat/VGW (I'm actually working on that scene now) and Fred in between.

You're going about this all wrong.

NC/SSS could about two space mutant Oho Jees who live on the moon that hit Pat in the eye. It would still be hilarious if Jay or Lord Reid did it.

Why? Because they're laid back. They're naturally funny, random funny. It's all in the execution, not the plan or the story itself. NC/SSS hardly has a story anyway.

Honestly, you typed "vignettes with Pat/VGW". Pat and VGW don't have "vignettes". They don't have anything that can't be spelled by your average second grader.

Problem is, I don't know if you can be random funny. If the jokes in Mysteries comics are your random funny, then NC/SSS is doomed. Doomed like a universe situated in a tupperware full of jambalaya about to be microwaved.

Talk to Jay or Lord Reid and get every joke you possibly can from them. That's all you can do now.

I am good at jokes, however I lack spriting skills.

Cruel irony.

Anyway, Sean could be right and still doomed; I might like it, but... will Glyph like it?

Sheesh! I didn't think that there would be such a negative reaction to me doing Part 11.

I guess you can't satisfy the purists.

I finished the comic about an hour ago and I have to say that I am satisfied with the result.

I think I have have, at least partially, replicated the style of humour that Jay and Lord Reid has used in the series.

While I did pre-plan the structure, the whole thing was improvised as I went and I definitely believe that it's better than the stuff I've done for mysteries.

I know it won't be the best part of NC/SSS (it doesn't even advance much of it's plot). I just did this comic to help move NC out of the lull it has been under for the past few months.

Lord Reid is already planning to do Part 12 and Jay may one day be able to make another part.

In closing, I'm not asking you to like the comic, but I just want to let you know that I worked very hard to make the best comic I can.

Hopefully, you will be able to see the results within 2 weeks.

*Sigh*... If someone came out of nowhere with awesome, hilarious jokes and did part 11 I would welcome it. But I don't know if you can do that at all.

Now, if it's done... why are we waiting two weeks for it to be put up?

I'm just glad to be finally getting a new NC comix.

Anyway, I found both LOTW and THOH to be very entertaining, so I trust Sean to do a good job.

If you need jokes, you could always ask me. It's just that I suck at pixels.

If you wanted people to argue over something you should have picked something controversial like "The sky is blue" instead of something everyone agrees on like "Metal Man sucks at life".

That's it, Glyph! Tear apart people who insult me entirely by accident!

In other news, your argument commits a fallacy of relevance. Argue against my ability to be funny rather than against me if you want to be taken seriously.

True, true.

Anyways, I was talking to Jay on AIM last night and I gave him last call on the exact time the comic will be posted, so it may be up sooner other than later.

Jay also said he plans on posting Alph's Mushroom Wars comics within the next few days (maybe even today).

The comment wasn't supposed to be relevant or taken seriously. I just enjoy referencing your failure at life.
