Anyways, this should be nice. My potential roomate changed rooms, so I have the option of keeping it single. After what I had to put up with last semester (rap "music", frequent noisy visitors who stayed for an average of an hour at a time, after I told her how much I hated gum she started chewing it MORE, the whole deal), I went for it (not only was my mother there to agree, but my parents had already told me they would be more than happy to do it if it meant me getting an education instead of a headache). As it turns out, I'm REALLY going to need this freedom. Last year my CS class was hard, but also fun. The teacher not only expressed emotion and made jokes, but he knew about 1337 Speak, Trogdor, Jack Thompson and Penny Arcade, the effed up method of copy protection Sony was coming up with, and all sorts of other things. This semster it's gone from CS to BS. When you've got a lecture class which weird terms like "Big-O" and , for the love of everything, MAKE SURE THEY'RE BOTH INTERESTING TO LISTEN TO AND SPEAK NATIVE ENGLISH! The guy is an India Indian who's hard enough to understand over his accent without him talking to the display screen. And he doesn't just talk to it, he stands in the way of it, pointing to stuff I can't even see. Look, I don't want to look at your back for an hour unless you're shirtless, hairless, pumped, and not lecturing, okay? So yeah, that was my week. ![]() Where are these lemmings going?
