Important Announcement!
I just realized the game won't make any progress unless maintenance costs are reduced. Each unit now asks for 5 coins rather than 10. SK and BSD will be refunded 40 and 35 coins at the beginning of day 3, respectively.

Another Important Announcement!
I just realized there's no point in waiting to update. Thus, without further delay, day 3.

Day 3

New spells: Aid Another and Coin Shower. Instructions for casting spells have been added to the first post under "Tasks".
New building: Bonus level.

Your ShyGuys come across an abandoned mage tower. There's nothing to find there, except for an old spellbook. (You get a spellbook. However, since you don't have a Mage Guild, you can't yet cast spells.)
Later that day, the scouts find a dark lizard-looking creature by a mountain. The creature attacks them at first, but they're able to repel the attack, and chase the creature into a cave. It's too dark, however, and the ShyGuys return home. (You have discovered a cave. You may send a group of creatures there to explore at a cost of 10E, or you may send a warband, but this is not advised yet.)
Later that day, a group of exploring Koopas enters your village. (BSkullDragoshi has found you.)
Notes: I hope you meant Resource Gathering. Anyway, you shouldn't have 322c with the coins you gathered.

I'll buy four money bags, one for each Toad. Then I'll have each use one energy to explore, and three energy to resource gather, giving me 75c total before upkeep.

Well, you said I got 172c.
I had 250c. So I figured I had 322c, without deducting the MoneyBag.

And yes, sorry I put Research Gathering.

I would like ShyGuys 1-5 to do Resource Gathering, as well as half of ShyGuy 6's energy. The remaining half as well as ShyGuy 7 and 8's energy to build a Mage Guild.

Lessee...I have Koopas 1 through 5 invest all their energy in Resource Gathering, while Koopa 6 invests three points of energy in RG, and the remaining 5 points of energy are used in exploring

The Koopas come across a Toad child being attacked by a piranha plant. Acting quickly, they divert the monster, and one of them rescues the kid. Later, they find the kid's town, and the Koopas are rewarded with 28 coins. (You get 28 coins. The village is neutral. It's not Prince Toad's village.)

Your Toads run into a skirmish between a warband of shadows and a team of Toad guards. They hide behind the trees, watching the fight, and soon it's down to one guard against two shadows. The Toad manages to wound one of them, and then attempts to escape into the forest, but he is damaged by the creature. With his last breath, he calls for your help to avenge the great Toad race, which one of your explorers promptly does, taking the Toad's spear and slaying the dark monster. (You found a spear.)

I'll buy two money bags and give them to Koopas 3 and 4. After which I have Koopas 1-4 invest all their energy in Resource Gathering, have Koopa 5 invest half it's energy in RG, then use the remaining 10 energy in exploring

I meant it looked complex at first. Now, it doesn't look so bad. Might want to make spaces between different items in the first post, makes it loook cluttered.

Also, will there be a Mario tribe? Magikoopas? Piantas? Noki? etc.

Also also, will more buildings/spells be uncovered if people explore?

Thanks for the advice; I might change the look of the first post anytime now.

And yeah, exploration may influence the appearance of new game elements; but it's mostly what I think may help the game advance. Still, you know you can request your own game elements.

There won't be a Mario tribe, because there can be only one Mario. I have something planned for the Magikoopas already... as for Pianta and Noki, well, I have to say I'm very outdated when it comes to the '64 and the GC; but if anyone's willing to give me the specs, then I might create that race.

I'll update after PT posts his turn, or after 24 hours have passed.

On a different note, would you like me to give you more tactics and tips? Or would you prefer that I keep my mouth shut and let you figure out the game on your own?

EDIT: Do you think we should keep the game to the Marioverse, or may we extend it into the other Nintendo worlds? You decide!

I'll have them all use three energy for RG (125 c) and one for exploration. Then I'll hire a new Toad (15 c) and have him RG (31 c).

Day 5

The Mushroom King has announced the presence of a dangerous threat to all living beings: the Dark Creatures. Specifically, a large swarm will arrive in about a week (day 12), and it is advised that every town ready its defenses.

New items: short sword, long sword, short bow, long bow, buckler.
The exploration rules have been changed, though the final results are roughly the same.
The Library's cost has been reduced to 280c, 28E.

Your Koopas find a lone Ostro in the plains, seemingly lost. They catch it and get it home. (Ostros count towards your population limit and have an upkeep cost of 5c, just as any other unit. Right now, all you can do with it is have a scout ride it, adding +3E to that unit's exploration. However, Ostros are more useful in battle.)

The Toads come across the remains of a merchant caravan. No dead bodies are there to be seen. The caravan was almost completely sacked; all the Toads find is an old scroll and a few coins. (You found 12 coins and gained the Forging technology.)
On the way back home, they find a wandering Toad, who tells the explorers that her town was destroyed by a swarm of dark creatures. The Toads invite her to reside in the village. (A Toad joins your tribe. It won't cost you any upkeep for today.)
Notes: Toads cost 115c, not 110c. You wouldn't have had enough to pay for all the upkeep costs were it not for the lucky exploration.

Shy Guy 4 casts Coin Shower. (I had thought it was useless, but you explained to me bonus energy.)

Seriously? Crap, sorry.

I'll have one of the Toads without moneybags go exploring with all his energy, and the other go exploring with 1. Then I'll have three of my Toads with moneybags spend all their energy on RG (68 c). Then I'll have two of them build a Bonus Level (28 c). I'll have a fourth Toad do RG in there (52 c) and then build another Bonus Level with him and another one who's spent his energy (12 c). The last Toad with a moneybag will do RG in the new Bonus Level (38 c), and the Toad with three energy left will also do RG (50 c). (I think that all works out.)
