Which 10 video game characters scared you the most? (Spoilers...I guess)

These are the 10 video game characters that have scathed me for life:

10. The Doom Dragon-Golden Sun 2
9. Ultemecia-FF8 (It's scary the way Square modeled her after my sister)
8. Dragonia-Crystalis
7. Sin-Final Fantasy X
6. Ursula-Kingdom Hearts
5. Basically all the bosses in Castlevania 64
4. Yellow Monkey-Ape Escape 2
3. Elmo-Elmo's Counting
2. Ganon-Ocarina of time (Looks more like a lizard than a...whatever he is)

And the character that psycologically traumatized me for life is....
1. Tingle-Assorted LoZ games (He still gives me nightmares, but at least it's not Freddy or Jason anymore)

Multiple things: Big Fish, the eel from SM64, that witch doctor boss from LoT:MM, Any time in an RPG you fought either Multiple bosses continusly or with less characters, and Bowser at the end of YI. Anything that's ten times bigger than your character, really.

I've never actully fought Sin, but the Sin-amas (

) are enough to get him on my list. And enough to let me know I'm not going to like the fight much. HE'S HUGE.

10. When I was young, I was scared as hell of Blind in Link to the Past. I laugh at him now, but I figured he deserves a place on this list.

9. I'm sure Deathtoll would have been a helluva lot scarier had High Score not had him as the Soul Blazer screen shot.

8. All those clowns wandering around that one Wario World stage.

7. The metroids in Metroid 2 always made me jump when they let out a cry and came charging at me all of a sudden.

6. First form of the final boss of Phantasy Star IV. 2nd and 3rd forms weren't anywhere near as scary as that.

5. Everything in Hydlide... and Hydlide in general for that matter.

4. The Plutonium Kaiser. At least Boss wasn't 30 stories tall with pulsating flesh and flailing tentacles everywhere.

3. That boss from Symphony of the Night that's a big ball of naked corpses. The boss wasn't scary, but knowing Konami managed to whip that up was.

2. Pikachu. 'Nuff said.

That's a little like what Final Vargas was, except he wasn't so much tall as a big weird... indescribable blob of flesh. He was more long than tall, but he was HUGE.

A jewel with tentacles is pretty creepy...I guess.

That reminds me. There's an enemy in Phantasy Star II that's a rotting bunny (there's also another enemy that's pallette swapped off of it). Its standing animation is it standing there, its guts fall out, the bunny shoves them back in, they fall back out, the bunny shoves them back in... and it attacks by hitting you with something coming out of its chest.

I'm not freaked out my many video game characters, but there are a few that come to mind...

The first Metroid of Metroid Prime. It seemed harmless enough, what with being in a tube and all, but once it popped out, I panicked. I had so many thoughts running through my head, like "What the hell just happened?" "How do you beat a Metroid without the ice beam" "Does it have to be so loud and annoying?" "OH MY GOD, IT'S SUCKING OUT MY BBBBRRRRAAAAIIIINNNNSSSS!!!!"

Good times.

Wrinkly Kong, DK64. Having not read the instruction manual (I practically never do), I had no idea what was behind the doors in the lobby. So I walked up to one, thinking there was probably a mini-game behind it (you know how much Rare loves mini-games), and instead a ghost pops out and shrieks at me! Then she says not to be afraid, so I thought "Speak for yourself, *****! [img]graemlins/cussing.gif[/img] "

Re-deads, LoZ: OoT. I sure wasn't expecting to find brain-sucking zombies in the Hyrule Castle Market after the whole 7 year leap.

Happy Mask salesman, LoZ: MM. First off, I never trusted this guy. Second of all, he's a PSYCHO!

Dante's ghost, LoZ: OoT. The way he laughs was rather unsettling. Plus, his face is still deformed even as a ghost. And I got a slight suspiscion that he wanted to kill me.

I think that's it.

[EDIT] I got one more. The SA-X, Metroid Fusion. Although she shows up very rarely, I knew that I'd eventually have to fight her, and I could never tell when. That's what's so freaky about her. She could just pop up at any time and annahilate me. That kind of stuff makes a person paranoid.

That mailbox thing from blues clues!!! Aw man that guy is creepy. I mean, he just pops out of nowhere man. And he can talk. And yes, blues clues had a game, on the N64. Whoah. I'm gonna have nightmares about him. Again. About the mailbox.
