There was a Wal-Mart on the way to the orthodontist's, so I got some chicken noodle from there. There was a GameStop in the works right next to it. It opened, but I didn't go there until I had to get my wires tightened on day, again for chicken noodle from the Wal-Mart. They had about five Shining Force II's for $40 apiece. Even though Marth said SF2 was better than SF, I was not paying $40 for the sequel of a game I didn't like. When they were having the "But Two, Get One Free" sale, I was combing the bins for anything that looked interesting. I soon found the price of SF2 had fallen from $40 to a measly $10. I instantly grabbed it and bought it. The other day, I looked it up on eBay and people are paying $40 for it. I payed just $10 for what all those guys are paying $40 for (I can't say if it's a bad deal or not, because I haven't played enough SF2 to determine if I like it or not) -------------- About three weeks ago, I bought a Super Scope Receiver, and it came very quickly. It was $4, and the shipping was $4. 8 bucks total. Two weeks ago, I got a Super Scope. $2 for the gun, $6 for shipping. Another $8. The gun came today. I immediately stuffed it with eight batteries and ran it down to my room. Sadly, it didn't work. Nothing rattled in either of the two, so I was confused and upset. Then, something hit me. I remembered that in most Zapper games, you had to put the Zapper into the second player slot. So, I stuck the receiver into the second player slot, turned on Tin Star, and got a different screen from when I played with a controller. I fired, and... BANG BANG BANG! So, I paid $16 for what everyone else on eBay is paying $35 for! Okay, Falcon's Revenge was $3 (if not, free. I don't remember if I bought Bayou Billy with it, which was the free one in that visit. It's only a buck for a reason), but Tin Star was free because of the "Buy Two, Get One Free" sale My only disappointment: It doesn't have the aiming piece, and the Cursor button doesn't work in Falcon's Revenge: Aiming is hell in that game without it. -------------------- I really just made this topic for the Super Scope, but felt like saying any other times I can think of when I made off like a bandit. |

The closest thing I have to a Super Scope is a tiny lego peice that sorta looks like a black Super Scope with holes. I wonder why they stopped making stuff like that for Nintendo...? |

| Guest | Damn, I wish I had your luck. , I was lucky to get Tactics Ogre the Knight of Lodis for $54.99, though at that time, it was really really hard to find. And while we're on that topic, I'm sure you'll be glad to hear that my gamestop had Ecstasy Star III and only wanted 15 dollars for it, and Phantasy Star IV was 30. If we still had our Genesis, then I would have bought PSIV right there. |

Then get another Genesis off of eBay. I owned Blaster Master 2 for almost a year before I got a Genesis, and Blasting Again for a couple of months before a Playstation Anything entered our house (I originally played it on my brother's PS2 when he first got it, then played it for a little bit when I got a PSOne). Oddly, both scenarios of "Games before system" were both Blaster Master games. Why? I decided to collect a copy of all five Blaster Master games at one point, whether or not I owned the system. Yes, I got them all (and the only one I haven't beaten on the actual thing without a cheat device is BM2, which I have never played on the cartridge). I looked through my receipts, and as it turns out, Falcon's Revenge was actually $2. The sale had ended when I bought it, but it wasn't $3. ---------------- Here's some comments I have on some of these things: The Super Scope hurts. It might have just been the way I was holding it (I didn't feel the need to put it on mys shoulder because I didn't have the aiming piece, so I was holding it like a machine gun), but after I beat the Asian guy in Falcon's Revenge, I had to turn it off 'cause my arm was so sore. ~~~~~ Today, Shining Force II pissed me off for the first time since I've had it. I was playing it this morning, and the phone started ringing. I went to answer it, but didn't recognize the number and didn't answer. After that phone stops ringing, our other line starts. My mom hears that one, answers it, and starts talking to the person on the other line. I wait around to tell her somebody called on the other line, but she was taking WAY too long, so I returned to my game. It's frozen. For some unknown reason, I start tapping the cartridge. All it does is make weird beeping noises come from the TV. I turn it off, waited a few seconds, turn it back on... "Woops! File 1 has vanished!" At least I wasn't that far in the game. I was at the scenario where they were ripping up the boat for lumber, and some guy vanished. [ September 20, 2003, 11:07 AM: Message edited by: CodieKitty ] | |
