A year and a half has been long enough. I have decided to put together a Christmas comic for NC. If Jay allows so, it will be posted in NC otherwise it will just be linked from the SMBHQ main page. My ideas for it so far are that it will be based on the faux documentary style of The Office (even borrowing some plot points from the UK Office Christmas Special) and it will make references to the long hiatus. I'm open to suggestions/collaborations, so feel free to post. EDIT: I've been re-watching The Office Special and I have a rough plot outline in my head. It won't follow the special to a T, but there will be plot similarities, most specifically the fact that it will be in two parts with the first part concentrating getting up to date with the characters, while the second part deals with a Christmas party. I don't think it'll take too long to do, so I should have it ready by Christmas. Last edited by Sean P Kelly; 12-20-2007 at 04:36 PM. |

I like the first one, since the comment makes no sense, yet its possible that someone, who is ill-informed in the arts, would actually say it. Also, as you can see from the frame, I have included David Brent from the Office in the comic. The second frame (which chronologically comes shortly after the first frame) is a demonstration of the Office-ish "talking head" scenes that will be prominent in the comic. As you can see, I just enlarged the sprite to fix the frame to create the illusion of a close-up. I hope to have at least the first half of part one done tonight. |

And if you remind me, and I don't think it's too horrible, I can put it up on NC. (That reminds me, I should really update that thing some time during my short winter break...) -jay |

As such, my next preview frame will be from that section (even though you won't see it until part 2) |

My self-critique is that the comic seems a bit more like random vignettes than a self-contained storyline, but I hope that it's documentary format will help to explain that away. I anticipate that Part 2 will have a bit more story two it. |

| Senior Member | Not bad. I thought Fred more of as an Orc, myself. The Mr. T WoW reference was pretty cool. Can't wait for part 2. |
