I like this one better: YouTube - 99 Red Balloons - Nena Sung by the German girl but in English. But I found out that there's also this one, which I think is the one Sean was referencing in the NC/SSS crossover: YouTube - Goldfinger - 99 red balloons It's mostly in English but one of the verses is in German, like in the comix. I think there are other cover versions too, but I've never listened to them. What do you think? |

The thing was originally scored and written in German. It's just natural the whole thing not only sounds better but scans better in the original format. Kind of the same thing I always have with dub vs. sub for anime, games, and movies from outside of the English-speaking areas. Regardless of how good a job they do, it almost never matches up well to the things being done the way they were originally figured out to be done. |
