Churro has had his time in office, and from the stagnant inactivity, it has become obvious that instead of running NC, he has been drinking Kool-Aid! Clearly, this means it is about time for another election, so that we can elect somebody who can actually bring NC out of stagnation. ![]() Is Bill good enough that he deserves another 8 years? What about Fred? I dunno. Who'd be up for another NC presidential election? (Besides me, that is beyond the point. ) |

I'm thinking about running the election, and I know who my candidate is for president already. We'll see how many people want to do this and decide whether or not we want to do just the Neglectocrats and Subconians or also throw the Radical Extremists or Retro Activists in as well. I think we should have a minimum three month tenure at VGF for everyone who wants to run as of January 2008 (ie only people who joined by October 31, 2007 will be able to participate, so if you're a member now you can run), because I want to get this up and running ASAP. Let's get a show of posts on who wants to do this. -CSM |

I'd probably nominate someone, like I did with Geno a long time ago. Jay is probably too busy to do this, but I can still see this happening, if people help out. Oh, and I do want to be the manager of someone. Who that will be will be decided later. Last edited by X-3; 07-09-2007 at 09:05 PM. |

I think it would work if we all chipped in a bit. If we get at least ten people to do this, it'll work if we all chip in and run it ourselves. Right now we have three. We need to get as many as we can. I don't think Jay would mind. -CSM |

The elections are always fun. And hey, while Romplayer did a lot of work for the 2004 election, I did a lot of work for it as well, if I remember correctly. But yeah, just let me know what you all want to do. Help is always appreciated.-jay |

At the very least, I can help organize it on the site and maybe run one of the character's campaigns. (Probably Churro's re-election, I guess.)-jay |

I can tell you right now I am going to doPrince Lemmy Koopa's campaign. -CSM |

| Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Booyaville (yeah!) Gender: Posts: 10,791 Thanks: 1,019 Thanked 686 Times in 467 Posts | So let's see... So far we have: -MM -Me (as Lemmy Koopa) -Panfan -X-3 -Jay (as Churro) -MC -Jigglypuffer (as Koopa 3-3) -L007 The Neglectocrats are definitely going to be on the ballot. Hopefully we'll get enough SMB2 characters to have a Subconian party. If we get enough support, we'll open up the Radical Extremists and/or Retro Activists. I'm going to recommend grabbing Bill ASAP, because he has the easiest campaign (he doesn't have to go through a primary round). We still need lots more! -CSM |

And the more people we get for this, the better, so I don't think there's any need to rush to get people to join. Give it some time and promotion. I'll see if i can update the SMBHQ and NC main pages with some information once we agree on how we want to run it.-jay |

This should make up for all those times Jay talked about the next NC/SSS2, and having Metal Man in it, and then there was no NC/SSS 2 update. (Yes, feel free to ask him if you don't believe me.) Of course, I'll be able to make campaign posters and everything. If nothing else, I can mimic Jay's style--and I have a better sprite now. (Too bad he only has two frames... oh well.) As for political party, uhh... I dunno. Throw him in almost anywhere, although he has similar wants and ideas to what Bill used to do. Of course, I can pick another character if that's no good. |

I will take on the role of Dr. Donez's campaign manager(I believe I did last time, too), if I am allowed to. |
