So Jay

Are you done with college yet? NC is feeling like a two-dollar whore right now.

NC wishes it was a two-dollar whore.

Anyway, another year or so until I finish my PhD.

I'm in the middle of taking a huge ass test at the moment (just a small, two week long thing), so I have been even more negligent of NC as usual.

I think we've reached the point where I'm likely to be unable to update NC again and will have to rely on help and/or guest authors.-jay

You're negligent of Neglected Characters? Now that's just pathetic.

I wouldn't mind being a guest author.

I was going to start a Bill and Fred comic soon, anyway.

When he said unlikely to update NC again, he mean once again, not ever again. As in, like the last time. This has happened before. School overrides comics.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

You know, I think that that would be a pretty good idea.

With school comes lack of time, and sprite comix take 9999 billion times more time than roleplaying.

Or even SSSing.

The result? No more NC until he's comfortably in a job, or perhaps in the awkward space between getting a PHD and using it.

Even then, he may not have the right reference material anymore. Years of studying mean he probably has more science jokes than video game ones, which I know personally would fly over the heads of most people here who didn't also study in depth. (Heck, even me... ...grumble grumble I hope I can afford to get into a real College eventually...)

I would gladly help keep NC alive in between keeping SMBHQ alive.

No, it was the preliminary examination for my PhD. I pretty much passed it, but I have to do a couple of things first. And then defend my proposal in November.

I'll likely take the FE sometime in 2009.-jay

I think it's only something like 2-3 months in advance.

Anyway, I was going to take it this fall, but for some reason Virginia has some silly rule where grad students can't take the test unless they are in their last semester before graduating. Which makes zero sense. Less than zero sense.

I talked some someone from Maryland, which said the only rule is that you need a B.S., so I may just take it there in 2009.-jay
