After all, neither me nor Fred would want any votes to be lost due to some page error. |

Too bad you don't have the exact numbers. Would have been very interesting, like in the primaries.

In general: 1. Once again we find ourselves in a similar matchup to before, but unlike before I shall run not just as a Nintendoite but as someone who wishes to represent NC. Therefore, in honor of the candidates who lost, I shall co-opt their old plans into my larger plan, as long as they do not conflict. The exact specifics will be announced in my ad, but this means such things as 'deporting' Mario and trying to focus less on mudslinging. 2. On a similar note, Donez is yet another bird candidate, and we have had two bird presidents, both of which hardly removed from another. But it gets worse: Donez is simply a different color from Churro. Is NC to be ruled by birds for another 4 years, or shall we make history with the first non-sprite President? Your choice. 3. While I stand by my words, past and present, I also apologize for any mudslinging I made which was harsher than necessary. Looking back on things, it would be best put in parody/satire form rather than direct attacks on somebody's character. 4. A note of how I have made so many ad panels that at this point everyone can clearly see I will be able to provide for NC. But also a note that I will provide for NC even if not elected; just that your vote will serve not only to make a new precedent, but encourage I to make even more comics, only non-political ones. 5. In seeing how the tactics of Donez managed to cut out the other unfortunate candidates, if elected, I would appoint Wario and Yoshi to government positions. While I earlier saw no need for bipartisanship, now that motivated people exist, I feel they deserve a place too. 6. In conclusion: Your choice who wins, but to seriously consider the pros and cons of each candidate before you choose for this last vote. Last edited by Metal Man; 01-26-2009 at 11:52 PM. |

| Member | My rebuttals: 1. It is a similar matchup, but I am running as a Subconian now. It's no longer partisan anymore, it's an all-out battle. Therefore, it should be a better matchup. 2. Blatant racism towards birds. Besides, birds are a brave, proud, and honorable species. I am proud to represent one of their kind. Also, remember that should the Donez campaign win, a Spanyard will be voted into office too, for a bit of a change. 3. Also, calling upon your "friends" to further the personal attacks was uncalled for. I can only hope that the voters remember that I did not engage in the same behavior. 4. You definitely have talent, Metal Man. Even if you lose the election and I win, I would be happy to give you the Official Comic-Maker spot in my cabinet. 5. My "tactics" were a high level of activity, a familiarity with politics, and honesty and integrity. Nothing menacing there. I would be happy to give Romplayer and Mushman spots in my cabinet as well. 6. Agreed. Of course, if you decide to say "screw it all" and vote for me, that's fine too. ![]() About my cabinet: I am going to form an NC Cabinet should I win the election. The spots will be Advisor to the President, Official Comic-Maker, Official Advertiser, Assistant to the Advisor, and Assistant to the Advertiser. Three of these spots will be reserved for Metal Man, Romplayer, and Mush Man should I win. The spots they are offered will be my decision. The other spots will be open to public application, but make sure to give me some credentials so I can make an informed decision. |

| Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Germany Gender: Posts: 806 Thanks: 1 Thanked 10 Times in 7 Posts | Today I'm here to tell the voters who are still unsure, which candidate should become President of NC. As Metal Man said, this is a run for representing NC. And that's one of the most important duties of a president. Let's do a bit of brainstorming. Who are the characters people are associating NC with the most? Of course it's the congenial duo Bill and Fred. Furthermore there is Dr Donez who gained much popularity and fame with his intelligence and the closeups. Churro, Jill, Lemmy und Citrus Man made some important appearances, too. The best way to represent NC is a NC himself, most suitable one that all the viewers of NC know and like. And here's the point: Nearly nobody outside the forums knows Metal Man. Even fewer person know Menaced By Puppet. Why is this so? That's not a hard question to answer: It's because they aren't NCs at all! How can somebody who is NOT a NC represent a land full of NCs, called NC? I leave the answer to you, dear voters. I know what Metal Man's campaign manager... oh wait, that's Metal Man himself... will say to this. He will tell us, that representation is not the only thing. That NC is in need of somebody who takes the action. Somebody who makes people laugh with comics. Somebody who has proven he can create many panels. Perhaps even somebody, that is not a sprite president, although NC is famous for being the first sprite comic in the world. Well.... okay. So here I present the one that is perfect for this job - as much as Metal Man: Scrooge McDuck ![]() He has all the advantages of Metal Man. Scrooge McDuck has shown his ability to take the action thousands of times, in most cases successful. He made people laugh all over the world for over 60 years now, being in uncountable comics. He created a lot of panels before, most notably the ones in front of his Money Bin. And just like Metal Man, he would not be a sprite president. So why not choose him as the next NC President? Excuse me? Because he is not related to "Neglected Mario Characters"? Oh... Yeah, you're right. Let's vote for Metal Man then. |

That's a load if I ever heard one. Lest we forget, the majority of his general election campaign has been spent trying to sew seeds of doubt that I exist, and calling the Nintendoites 'shady' and 'irresponsible' because of this even though it's been shown time and time again that HEY, MENACED BY PUPPET IS A REAL PERSON FANCY THAT. But hey, apparently he 'knows a thing or two about politics' and that nothing is sacred, even a week-long truce declared by Sean, so all is forgiven amirite guyz? |

Well then, I need not say any more. I intentionally avoided any direct mudslinging, yet both of these people have reacted to it with mudslinging. Anyone who takes them seriously will also be convinced by me painting "Vote for Metal Man" on the wall. For those who are not convinced by just anything written on a forum post, however, I shall have a new comic up by tomorrow. Also, I do have my own sprites, but I thought I would follow the tradition of Jay. You know. That guy who's the most relevant to NC of them all? Additionally the Deathzooka was inspired by me; I have the IRC logs, if you must see them. There is also the unused Infinity Blade. And there were plans of an SSQ/NC comic. But if some people wish to self-delude themselves that I've never talked to Jay or done NC things before, so be it. Last edited by Metal Man; 01-28-2009 at 12:07 AM.

Add the fact that he's one of Jay's favorite characters and he'd probably be nigh-unstoppable. Luckily, he isn't in the election... so my comic shall be appearing tomorrow. ![]() |
