Mario Kart forum

VGF needs one, and it fits into many criteria that I feel makes the game deserve its own forum.
  • It's a long running retro series.
  • It's an online game, so we can share FC's and set up races.
  • It has clans.
  • It has had many characters over the years, so there's no shortage of Characters of the Month.
  • There are myriad techniques and shortcuts, so more experienced players can share their expertise with newer players.
  • It's just that damn good.

I'd even volunteer to moderate the forum, should it be created, if nobody else wants to do it.

That Mario forum could be designated as a place to discuss the platformers and other spinoffs, meaning Mario Kart could then have its own forum.

Come to think of it, it could be a Mario Kart AND Mario Party forum, considering that they are the most successful spinoffs.

But there are no Mario Kart or Mario Party threads in the Mario Forum, therefore, there would be no activity just because you divided it.

If I was the mod, I'd make sure it would be active. Who knows, I could even hold tournaments.

You have to have at least 200 posts, then.

Somebody else could be interim mod in the meantime, but if I continue to be active, I'll reach 200 posts before a MK forum could be fully set up.

And you have to be relatively active. 0.55 ppd isn't active.

I think the only reason you're suggesting this forum is just so you can mod it. :|

We don't need it anyway.

Doesn't seem like there'd be a point to it. If people want to talk about Mario Kart, they can do it in one of the Mario/Nintendo-specific boards. Not that there's a lot to say.

(EDIT: omg 7k)

I volunteer to run the 'Metal Man is awesome' forum.

All in favor? No one. Oh well. It's still good!

The only reason I suggested a Mario Kart forum is because there are many things about the game that can and should be discussed without taking over the regular Mario forums.

There's no point for it. If you want to talk about Mario kart, JUST GO TO THE MARIO FORUM!

^Yes. The Mario forum doesn't get any activity anyway. Seperating it will only make two dead forums.

MK, like Smash, has an active competitive scene and clans, so that would spur some activity.

Using your logic, since Smash is Mario-related, that should be discussed in the dead Mario forums too.
