I'm now officially completely back - for the moment at least. AT&T took 2 weeks (after the main deposit) in sending me the software for the dial up, and they kept giving me random numbers of days. They finally settled on ten business days, so that ended today and its still not here. So I said, "F*** it." and I pulled out my free netzero CD. 1. Its cheaper. As far as I know, the regular dial-up from AT&T is $20. The High Speed Dial up with Norton antivirus and pop up blocker is about $15. Plus my first month is free. 2. No waiting for mail as I have the cd. 3. I just have to pop it in and fill out a few things, and voila! Instant interweb. Anyway, yeah, I'm surprised about the amount of activity I squeezed out of those - What was it? - Nine months of no internet at home? Anyway, whatever. Now to send in that donation... |

I'm Guildmaster, Vgfian, or Bryan - if you like. I remember when Meowman joined, and I've notreally been in many of the same topics as either of you that much really. |

Man, back when I was in the states I got setup with SBC for 13 a month. Wasn't the fastest line ever, but definitely better than dialup. Good luck with that. You really shouldn't give money to Netzero, though. They literally put all of the actual free providers out of business, by buying/merging and then instating a charge fee. Baaad practice. And yes, I used to use free ISPs. Last edited by Cosmonautical; 07-16-2010 at 12:44 AM. |

It.. really doesn't do much, except put another step in the system. |

I work for Time Warner. So if any of you want faster internet and happen to live in southern California... |

We must be legendary, because we have repeatedly called their higher-ups and yelled at them, and had to yell at AT&T workers in the street to plug in our connection. |
