Hi there, I'm Danielle. I don't think I've ever really posted on a video games forum before. Music's my first love, so I usually just stay on boards relating to that. Thought I'd give your forum a wee try, though.

Anyway, I'm mainly into RPGs. Especially the ones from the SNES/PS1 era. But I play a bit of everything, really. I'm also into anime, comics and really cheesy horror movies. Cause if you're going to be a geek, you might as well really go for it, right?

Also, if you haven't already noticed, I tend to waffle on a bit.

And the SNES/PS1 era was truly the best for RPGs.

True dat. I miss JRPGs being less ridiculous than they are now. If only a little bit less ridiculous. :/

Mine? I got it from one of the Great Old Ones in the Lovecraft mythos. It's also kind of similar to the name of the band Gororoth. I think they got it from Tolkien though. That and I use the same screen name for just about everything, because I'm unoriginal.

Welcome. I'm not much for straight-up nonhybrid RPGs myself----last one I played for any length of time was 'Metal Saga', and, well, let's be honest, 'Metal Saga' was something special.

I don't think Metal Saga was released over here. Shame, really, cause it looks like it would be right up my alley.
Honestly, traditional RPGs have to do something really special to catch my interest these days as well. I usually just go back to the classics if I want something turn-based. The last ones I took any real interest in were Persona 3 and 4.

Welcome to VGF! Just so you know, there is a music forum here, and a lot of people like talking about music in general. So feel free!

Something to also keep in mind is that our Public Display Names (PDNs) are different than what people usually call us. For instance, I'm Marilink, or ML for short.
