Are the old posts gone forever?

I fired up VGF on the Wayback Machine only to find that it's robot.txt excluded! Is there no recourse? Are the posts from the glorious year 2000 gone forever?

I know something happend back in the 2000 that took post from the forums down in some nasty non retrevable way.

And yes shane still is the one holding the ropes

It's odd, I seem to remember accessing them on Wayback not too long ago. We're talking like, 2009 maybe? Hm. Any way to get in touch with the man?

I seem to remember this being discussed here before, but I'm a more recent member, so I don't really have any answers for you.

I'm sure SD or HotD would be able to clear things up for you.

Something went wayhire with all the posts from pre-2004 or whatever, so yeah, lo and behold the vanished posts.

That doesn't bother me so much as robots.txt covering the forums now, meaning the Wayback machine can't access those aspects of the forums that did exist. I don't know, maybe there weren't any anyway...

Welcome back, FM!!! It's great to see you again... and with seeing you, you bring back a bunch of memories of a different time in VGF!!! A lot of good memories and missing many people... *gives you marshmallows*

I remember when Wayback would actually let you read through the forums. I don't know when it changed. And I'm going by memory here, but I don't think Shane has any stuff from 2000. He'll be able to confirm or correct that himself...

Hope to see you around lots more now that you found your way back...
