sorry if I seem to be making too many threads, I guess i have a lot of questions. I'll stop after this:

1.are there any major copyright sprite rules i should know about?

2. it says I am a "newbie". i was just curious how exactly does that rank change?

3. what days and times are most people on? or is it mostly random?

4. I don't mean to sound like Im stingy, but I do not have a ton of money. i get 14 dollars a month for allowance, and i really need to spend it on other things. does it really matter if i don't donate, but still use the forums?

5. am I allowed to say other peoples names and refer to them and such? because in some other forums i go to a lot you can't do that.

6. what do the little envolopes next to the threads name mean?

1. You can check the Comic forums for that, I'm not absolutely 100% on that so...yeah

2. I'm not sure how it is now, but I know the old formula was by post count, not sure if Shane changed it when we switched to vB.

3. For the most part that's random, I would say that the most activity happens in the afternoon/evening hours. And at night, the only active topic is pretty much Who's On Top.

4. No, you don't have to donate. I've been here for 2 years and haven't given Shane a cent. i'm sure most people here can say the same thing.

5. Don't know why not, a lotta the people here are friendly, but do know, VGF has it's own sense of humor so to speak. What may seem insulting might just be a joke. Also, a lotta people have one general name they go by, regardless of what their username is. (For instance, I go by Andre, Psytronic goes by AI, etc. etc.)

6. There's a key at the bottom of the forum page for that, just indicates things about the thread (Hot thread, closed, new posts, etc.)

also about the names thing, in the runescape forums that i go to, the top player is "zezima". however, they have strict privacy rules so that you can not say anyones name even if its "omg zezima is so awesome!" or "zezima is a noob.". but what is it with "level" thing? im "level 3" right now...

and also, how do i make my own avatar?

Hot thread just means it's really active. A lot of people have responded or viewed it. The runscape thing is retarded.

The level thing is just for show, ignore it. You can't make your own avatar, unless you donate or reach a certain amount of posts, you can get a default one for 5000 VB plaza points (accumulated through posts check the left side of your posts to know how much you have).

Useful tips: Tip no. 1: When you want to take someone else’s saying and put it in your post use the quote button at the bottom left of the person you want to take the quote from.

The quote button is at the bottom left of each post.

Tip no. 2: When you want to change your post press the edit button beside the quote button.

Tip no. 3: When you want to thank someone for a useful post in exchange for the edit button on your posts is a thanks button on other person’s posts.

It is 500 posts until member, 2500 to senior member and 10,000 to veteran member.

You should be able to figure out the rest on your own

Being here two months doesn't automatically remove n00b stench from your coat of membership.
