So for some reason there was an issue of The Onion included with my school's main newspaper. Half of it was about the Wii.

I don't believe Booya took this seriously.
And this thread is nothing but ridiculous, meaningless spam. I don't even take it as a joke.

Ok, with this name arguement buisness, lets remember that in Japan and the western world, the "Wii" could mean entierly different things, in Japan for example, what they interprate by the wii is "We" basiclly meaning it's a consol for everyone, now, in the western world, "Wii" can be mis interpratrated as "Wee" slang for urination. The names sounds absoultly DUMB and will keep people from buying the Wii, however, in Japan, it will be more popular, due to the fact that "Wii" over there can by interprate as it's a consol for anyone.

And. All the fanboys whining protecting thier nintendo's pride, with the "People won't judge by the name" crap, get outside, get some fresh air into your system, and learn how marketing works.

Is it kind of like how 'kuay' means 'kawk' in Thai, but in English it's a nautical term?
