| Senior Member | I got a DSi today...and for once I wasn't that excited about getting a new system. I got a new DSi today because I felt I would need it for future games. Sure the apps are a cool feature but it's nothing special! Maybe having an original DS Lite before made getting the DSi was a part of it. The DSWare is a letdown too. All in all though I have to tell you guys, it seems more and more apparent as the DS Lite and GBA slot functionality gets phased out that you will need a DSi as games will most likely use the camera features. Despite the weak megapixel size the pictures are surprisingly clear and I can upload them directly to facebook via photo channel. I say that it is worth the money because of future titles but right now it is not that exciting for me. Neat, but not that exciting because I already have a few DS Lites. |

Before the GBA came out, I stuck with my original Game Boy. Never got a Game Boy Pocket, never got a Game Boy Color. Just went from plain ol' Game Boy to GBA. I'm not about to buy a DSi just because Nintendo wants to act like Bill Gates all of a sudden and rip me off with a new upgrade every six months. |

| Senior Member | The DSi actually is incredible, but the reason I felt dissappointed was most likely because I already had a DS Lite. As for a game that uses the camera, there's a DSware title for warioware that uses the camera. |

I'm still using the original. I'd wager it's a better device than a DSi, pound for pound. A DS Lite has incentives, see--I don't see this with the DSi's needlessly more powerful setup made to run little 'apps' which nobody needs. Or if they do, they can just run their own on their DS with a card. Not to mention, why pay to lose multi-territory playability? |

When I bought the DS Lite to replace my original DS it was at least justified, I really don't see a reason for me to buy a DSi. |

I guess I got one because I didn't use the GBA slot on my Lite. and i'm never playing Guitar Hero anyway, so... __________________ /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\ WON’T YOU BECOME A MAGICAL GIRL? |

DSi would be impractical if I can't play GB/C/A games (It's actually possible to play GB games on DS without hacking/modding, it just takes a little creativity). |

Strangely, it seemed to work fine until you turned it off again, and then you'd just have to press on that spot on the DS again to turn the light on. So, I gave it to my mate who needed a DS (his had broken, hadn't replaced it), and got myself a used DS lite. I really dig my DS lite. I wish it worked with the old DS/gba power adaptor, though. |

I'm borrowing my friends for vacation this week and so far I love it. Its useful has just enough multi-player games to play and just enough rpg's as well. Still for every good game there is one or two craptastic ones as well. Its the price we pay as gamers. |
