(You can read about my exploits in the text portion of our webcomic here: TOBlender.com » Archive » My Kingdom For A Compatiable Phone ) I'm getting a DSi to replace it, and I'm re-gifting the DS to my sister. The only thing broken about it is the touch screen won't register touches. So I can still play Tetris DS fine, but Kirby's Canvas Course is a no-go. Is there a list of non-touch DS games out there? I'm thinking of getting some of those games so that my gift doesn't seem like a complete slap in the face. Remember, it needs to be completely touch-free; e.g. Dawn of Sorrow uses a stupidly superfluous touch thingie during boss fights, but is otherwise fine. |

Unfortunately that game does require touch to a limited extent. Every time you get a Power Star and exit a level, you have to use the touch screen to determine whether you want to save and continue, save and quit, etc. Also, you have to use the stylus to twirl Bowser around by the tail. But remember to keep in mind that the DS can play GBA games. Does your sister have a GBA? If not, then you could get her some to play. Last edited by Metal Mario; 08-22-2009 at 05:32 PM. I like good ports, because I like replaying good games. ![]() |

But technically, you don't need to use the touch screen to beat NSMB. You just can't use reserve items, move between worlds or play any of the minigames. Otherwise, it's playable. |

| Senior Member | I just got Dragon Quest IV last night and was about to rant about there being absolutely no touching present...but yeah. It has absolutely no touching. You can't even use it in the menu...so there. |
