Retro's Working on Something Exciting

GoNintendo - Retro says we'll be 'excited' when we learn what they're working on
They say "I think you'll be very excited when you find out what we're working on."

I believe I read somewhere that they're retiring from Metroid at the moment, and that implies that it's a previously existing franchise. So, what are your speculations? I'm thinking (hoping) Kid Icarus.

A team-up between Mario and Link at last. Picture that cutscene from SSB Brawl that shows Mario and Link running side by side towards the enemy, dodging lasers like Superman dodges bullets. Then imagine an entire game like that.

Hey, I can dream, can't I?

Kid Icarus Prime... an action/FPS/platformer that takes you all over Skyworld...

FUND IT.

Kid Icarus, a new Star Fox, or maybe a 2-D Metroid.

I'm guessing it's something entirely new. That looks cool. Which then would make us excited.

I've been suspecting a Kid Icarus remake for a while now, and I have a strong feeling about this one, ever since E3 when Reggie said that Retro was workin' on something big.

Then the media will claim that MP3 glorifies drug use. And treat the game like it just came out.

Maybe they'll fix up a Sonic game instead.

Or maybe they'll make a Mario/Sonic crossover that doesn't have to do with sporting events. That would be sweet too.
