Ace Attorney Getting WiiWare'd En Masse

Ace Attorney Getting WiiWare'd En Masse

Quote:
If you've wanted to play Capcom's Ace Attorney series but never quite got around to it (or are against the Nintendo DS for religious reasons), you're in luck. Capcom announced this week that the first three games in the ribald lawyer-'em-up adventure series -- the so-called "Phoenix Wright trilogy" -- will all be ported to WiiWare in Japan starting next month.

On December 15, you'll be able to buy the original Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on WiiWare in Japan for 900 Wii points. This will be followed up by Justice for All on January 26 (1200 Wii points), Trials and Tribulations on February 23 (1200 Wii points), and Chapter 5 of the first Phoenix Wright (which was new to Japan when the DS ports came out, but not to Americans) on March 16 for 300 Wii points.

The Wiiware ports will not feature many enhancements, other than the requisite Wiimote support for adventure-sequence navigation and hilarious objection antics. The screenshots in this week's Famitsu magazine look like they're simply upscaled from the DS version, so don't expect any hi-res artwork or anything.

No US release has been announced yet for these Ace Attorney ports.
Awesome. I still need to play the first two games.

Yes! That's freakin' awesome! It'll be like playing my Super Gameboy/Gameboy Player with a DS Game. And I've never played 2 or 3, either.

Ehhhhhh. With no improvment in graphics, story, or gameplay I see no real reason to buy this other than "It's on the Wii now" :/

I loved the first 2 games, never played the 3rd, but I do have Apollo Justice. Hopefully there'll be an EU release =/

Oh man, it's so worth it. If Ace Attorney doesn't come to WiiWare out of Japan, you definitely need to buy the games.

WiiWare Release for Ace Attorney: Justice for All Moved Up

Quote:
There have been plenty of instances in which we've had to report that a game has been delayed, but not enough where we get to report that one has been moved up. For Phoenix Wright fans though, we bring happy tidings.

Capcom has announced that the WiiWare release of Phoenix Wright: Justice for All has been moved up a month from its March release date. If you missed out when it hit the Nintendo DS back in 2007, this is your chance to play it on the big screen.

Originally developed for the Game Boy Advance in Japan, Justice for All is the sequel to 2005's Ace Attorney. The original game is already available on WiiWare, with the rest of the series slated for later this year.

Justice for All will run you 1000 Wii Points ($10). Expect it February 15.
February 15th, you hear?
