No More Heroes Gets Ported to PS3 and 360

No More Heroes Gets Ported to PS3 and 360

Quote:
In Japan's Famitsu magazine this week, Marvelous Entertainment announced that ports of the original No More Heroes, the whacked-out Wii action game that came out early last year, are forthcoming for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Both ports are due out February 25 in Japan for 5800 yen each; no US release has been announced.

Graphics and gameplay of Goichi Suda's stylish, sardonic game seem unchanged in the two ports; details on how the Wiimote-centric controls will be adapted to the new systems weren't given. One new feature was also announced: "Very Sweet Mode," which gives all the female characters in No More Heroes unlockable sexy costumes (shown both in-game and during cutscenes) when you complete certain conditions.

Preorders of the No More Heroes ports in Japan will get one of two "erotical portrait" art collections, depending on system.
Damn. I want unlockable sexy costumes.

Well, the game WAS originally for the 360.

I do want to see how they'll make the controls interesting enough to buy over the Wii version.

Unless it's going to work with Natal and PS3's controller thingy.

Why is it? Suda wouldn't get the money they deserved on a single platform, esp. one which mature games tend not to do well money speaking, e.g Madworld. I played NMH and it deserved alot more reconision than it got, I mean I prefered Madworld over it and I'd prefer that ported to PS3/360 than NMH, but I'm not complaining.

Ubisoft Won't Be Publishing No More Heroes HD In North America

Quote:
Ubisoft is the nominal publisher for No More Heroes, but that won't be the case for the upcoming Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 ports. The publisher told G4 that they've decided to pass on a North American release for the game.

In a brief statement, a company representative said, "Ubisoft will not be publishing either of these versions."

No reason was given for their decision. It's still possible that No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise will make it to North America, but it'll be through a different publisher. One possibility is Capcom, which published Grasshopper's Killer 7 back in 2005. Otherwise, there's the usual suspects such as Atlus.

At the moment, No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle is slated for a January 27 release. Heroes Paradise will be out in Japan in February.

Well, Madworld is kind of shallow in the gameplay department, and does have huge contrast issues, graphically speaking. House of the Dead 2/3 and Res Evil 4 were basically free moneys for Sega and Capcom.
