Telltale Bringing Back Sam & Max in 2010

Telltale Bringing Back Sam & Max in 2010

Quote:
With Telltale Games having just released the final installment of their Tales of Monkey Island episodic series, it looks like they're ready to return to their original episodic adventure game franchise: Sam & Max, freelance police. And so long as the new teaser site for the duo isn't deliberately misleading us in a cruel and deceitful way, it also looks like Sam & Max are ready to venture into the final frontier: space.

"In all the universe, the only power beyond the mind's comprehension is the power to comprehend the power of the mind," the website's faceless narrator enigmatically explains, as a large "2010" and constellations in the shape of Sam and Max can be seen in the background. "If any one of us could unlock this terrible power, would we use it to explore the mysteries of the infinite? Or would we use it to destroy?"

Whoa. Philisophical. And the narrator goes on: "It's a familiar tale, a power-mad space gorilla pitted against a canine detective and a sociopathic bunny with psychic powers," he says. "But my friends, this story is different. In this story, you are in control. There will soon come a time when you will be called upon to lead Sam and Max to defeat the forces of evil."

And that's about as much detail as the teaser site reveals at the moment, besides some hidden hot spots on the background image that bring up a few pieces of concept art. So exactly when Sam & Max will return next year (and on which platforms, although PC, 360, and Wii are probably a given) remains to be revealed.

Thumbs up I am Loot, and I approve this awesome stuff.

I'm half way through the second season now. This makes me happy.

Awesome. I'm still waiting on Season Two to hit Wii, though.
